Chapter 1: New Life The sun was rising bringing life to a new day the purple and blue sky was beginning to come to life with the sound of birds as the quit forest woke up from a cold night, the forest still in the clucks of winter but grasping on to the on coming spring snow glistened in the morning sun as it dripped from the trees. Tucked away from the rest of the world in the safety of a small den layed a family of wovles, the female wolf had just given birth to three small pups Airith although tired was beaming with joy to be a mother. Airith had a beautiful gray coat with a white belly and white stockings on all her lags except for one and a white tipped tail and beautiful blue eyes. Airith's mate Keyon layed proudly next to her watching his sweet new pups suckle their mother, his coat was light brown with orangeish brown socks on all his paws and all around his neck and had dark brown eyes. Keyon was strong and faithful trays Airith loved about her other half she knew he would make a great father. "What should we name them?" Keyon asked proudly. Airith looked at her three pups closely. "Why don't you name the male my love."Airith replied sweetly. Keyon looked at his only son and thought hard on what to call him. The little pup had a redish brown coat with dark brown back lags and a dark brown chast. "What do you think about Micka?" Keyon asked hoping his mate would like it. "Micka... Yes it does have a nice ring doesn't it, that should be our sons name Micka." Airith said excitedly. "Great one pup down two to go I want you to name the next one!" Keyon said proudly. Airith looked at the next pup who simply didn't want to stay still. She had a tan coat with a light brown belly and chast, and a light brown mask from her muzzle to the bottom of her eyes she even had light brown on the bottom of her tail. "Well what do you think about Amera." "Amera is a nice name." Keyon answered thow he could feel her disteast. "I like it but I just don't think it fits her... What about Serri." Airith asked hoping this would be the one. "I like it, Serri is simple but sweet." Keyon said happily. "I thought so to, now for the last pup." Their last pup had white coat with a light gray pach on her back she also had one on her forhead and a little pach on her nose. "Maybe Nena?" Keyon suggested. "Hmm... not bad but we can do better." "Alright then how about Sterling?" "Yes Sterling it is, our pups have great names now!"Airith said with joy. "They will grow up to do great things some day." Keyon said wisely. Three weeks later spring had finally beaten winter and the animals of the forest became more lively as the forest became green again. The Caribou would be back from their migration a great time for the prediors of the forest, Keyon couldn't wait. Meanwhile Keyon and Airith's den was getting more lively to their pups were up and about playing and exploring the den Micka turned out to have light brown eyes his sister Sterling had ice blue eyes and Serri had dark green eyes. Sterling stayed close to her mother and was quit and timid, Micka was very smart for his age and was always looking for a challenge but he had a shyness to him. Serri was becoming more of a hand full every day she was very playful and loved adventure and getting into trouble. Keyon and Airith had just finished breakfast when Keyon smelled something outside the den. "Keyon, is it who I think it is?" Airith asked curiously. "I believe so." Keyon said as he went outside. "Mama who's here?" Serri asked worriedly. "It's alright just a friend." Airith answered. "Can we meet him then?" Micka asked hopefully. "I'm sorry not today loves, but there's always tomorrow." Airith said sweetly. "How do you and daddy know him." Micka asked curiously. "Well your father is very close to the alpha of our pack, he helps the alpha do whatever is needed and so while we are away your father must keep up with the pack until we go back." "Do we have to go back, I like it here?"Sterling asked coldly. "Yes dear the pack is our extended family, you will see soon enough."
