The day I got my powers was the day I lost my best friend. Of course, I didn't know it at the time. Neither one of us did. And yet that was all it took to change everything.

"State your full name, age, and why you would like to attend SU High." The man in black, probably the security or something (he was rather burly) said as he pushed me towards the podium."Don't worry. The judges won't judge." He winked and waltzed away. I stepped on the podium and glanced at the judges.  Five of them, all immaculately dressed, like showstoppers. My already sweaty palms felt like they were dipped in the ocean and my body felt hot like lava. I felt as if I were on fire. And then, I was, literally.
