I'll probably never be
A first choice ya see
But I know beauty
Goes beyond skin deep
I may not be the one you choose 
But I will pass on to you a few  special thoughts you can keep
Not the one by your side in sleep
I've walked a many miles in these shoes 
And fought battles I was destined to loose 
Seen such sorrow that I hit my knees
Had to beg for food to eat
And from where I stand this is what  I see
A world that's lost an important piece
Caught up in all the to-do's
So busy with the daily news
Time quickly passes and it leaves
Taking with it special dreams
Long forgotten trails once weaved
So stop for a moment if you please
And think back about what you choose 
and how it shall affect the who in you
