The heroes of our timeWith confidence they marched,
Burning with zeal against unfair men.
Hope for a better tomorrow was what drove them.Risking their lives as they marched,They believed that the power to change tomorrow lay within them.On that day, June 16 1976,Fear crippled the hearts of none,No knee was feebleAnd turning back was not an optionFor they were set on a course which they had to follow...These are the heroes of our time!And today,Allow me to introduce to you,The hero of all time;His name is Jesus Christ!A man whose mandate was more than just a better education system, His mandate was eternal life, Zoe, the very life of God in man.His vision was salvation,His commission reclamation And his mission redemption...That is why I'm here to declare to you that you dont have to die; No!Coz the hero of all time traded his life for your own,When he died and was put in a tombBut death was not strong enoughSo the grave gave him up and he rose,Holding on to you eternal life.Now You can live forever. See, You dont have to be sick anymoreBecause the hero of all time Was beaten and whippedYet his bruises and wounds bought your healing,by His stripes you were healed,Now healing is the children's breadAnd well, You dont have to continue in sin no more, ah ah;No more bad-girl,No more bad-boy.There's no reason to be bound by the devil any minute longer,Hear me, that guy’s a defeated foe,Coz the hero of all time stripped him off all powerWhen he went into the deepest parts of hellAnd made a public show of the devil,See, he knocked him out, gained the victory, and passed on to youAnd so now the devil has no hold whatsoever over you.So today, make up your mindAs we celebrate the fearless heroes of our time, To embrace the hero of all timeAnd gain for yourself a life beauty and splendourAccept him as Lord over your life and live forever.Because even today,After 2000+ years,Salvation can still be found in none other than him
