At first it was a party. Balloons strung on every wooden beam, fairy lights cascading down every surface. People weaving in and out of tables enveloped in party food.
In the middle it was a crime scene. Police tape covering the walls and chalk marking out a dead body's outline, just like thies old-fashioned murders.
At the end it was a graveyard. Mourners clustered on the lawn, distant relatives crying their eyes out.
My back yard was all this in the space of 3 weeks.

When Ashlin and her triplets Brook and Carys move to England, they could never have imagined what exitment the move would bring. But when the loss of Brook hits the family like a dagger to the heart, Ashlin and Carys are the only people to realize something strange about the death. Can they find the killer before the killer finds them? Or will it be the end of the line for the triplets?

Chapter 1: Moving - Ashlin

I'm a pretty reasonable person. People get along with me. Nobody aragues with me. I have a nice group of friends. But the move tore this apart. It tore all if our lives apart, me and my triplets Brook and Carys. It basically turned our lives into nothing.

Anyway, I realise i never introduced myself. I'm Ashlin, the brunette triplet. Also known as the fat one, which does wonders to my self-esteem. There's Brook, the bouncy blonde triplet. The cheerleader, the naturally thin one. And then there's Carys, the strawberry blonde triplet. The one who is anorexic, who basically eats an apple a day. There's also my mom, dad and puppy, Katlin. Trust me, not the perfect family. Brook always whines about her cheerleader unifirm going missing. Normally Carys takes it to see what her figure is like, as its the most 'showy' item of clothing any of us owns. I make do with baggy t-shirts and jeans. Hardly flattering, but very comfy. Carys has leggings and all that jazz, and Brook just wears the cheer uniform. For the pride of it.

When we were told of the move, Brook basically exploded, saying about 'not being able to cope'. What she basically meant was that she didn't want to leave the cheer team. Carys, as usual, just sat in the corner biting her nails anxiously. Everyone knew that Brook had a feirce temper, especially when it came to cheer leading. But unfortunately for her, the house had already been sold, so we had to go. What they didn't give was the disclosure that the move was in 2 DAYS! Way to throw children under the bus. We also had no idea where we were going. I thought Ohio, Brook Florida and Carys Arizona. Of course we were all wrong. We were going to England.

2 Days later and I'm sitting in the airport, with my case and rucksack perched next to me. This is the first time any of us have actually been on a plane, let alone out of the country! Mom told us to eat up, as it was a long flight, but Carys didn't eat at all. As usual. When Mom told her about maybe having to see a psychiatrist about it, she nibbled on a granola bar. She had barely bitten the corner of when we had to move to the gate. All of the triplets held hands. This was big for us, and we all wanted to stay together. Little did I know this would be the last tine I cluched one of their hands.
