there is a story to be told
one that should’ve been controlled
one of gore and grief and rot
one of many children shot
bullets come and pierce our lives
and they shall lead to our demise
we will bring upon our own damnation
unless we heal our broken nation
why can we not just discuss
hasn’t anyone even thought of us
we want to live not just survive
but that gunman shall soon arrive 
many people will be missed
once they are put on that list
we may be small we may be few
but the change can start with merely you
