The nightmares are terrible,
The pain unbearable.
I cant do this anymore
Im knocking on Heavens door.
I lay here alone and I cry
In the darkness I pray to die
No sleep, one day blurs to the next
God please lift this curse or hex.
Uh oh Little Wolf, familys awake
Resemblance of life you have to fake
Put on a smile, a facade
Take the kids to the park, then the parade.
But tonight it will be the same
Youll try to sleep. But dreams by Nightmares will be maimed.
Youll try to tell, try to talk.
Your friends dont care, one by one theyll walk
Now its back to square one, alone in your room
Here comes the setting sun.
Another night of this and you will be done.
Can you fight the sleep till the dawns first light
Can you stay awake day after day..night after night.
Once upon a time you could,
But your getting older now, so no sleep is no good.
You close your eyes, and there he rides
The black horse, who in your mind resides
Bringing the mares to torture you all night
But how do you win..how do you fight.
When the lights go out, and your eyes drift closed.
Your mind, his will, will be imposed
The sweat drips from your brow,
You scream in fright, its over now
Twisting and turning, writhing in vain
Noone on earth can treat this pain.
Then everything is still, your quiet and calm
Your wolf rises to face your qualms
Fighting back with tooth and claw
He runs out the rider, no fear, no pause.
The rest of the night is peaceful sleep,
Only an hour left, better count those sheep.
