Drifting towards a light
On a tattered boat's side
Too worn to feel much
Or to revel in the excite

She finally made it thru the darkest of nights
No more treacherous ways
Surviving in fright
No more hiding in broad daylight

And although the darkness has taken its toll
She will survive and take up her new role
One to advise and learn to be neutral
With hope in her eyes and a loving family whose feelings are mutual
