Updated November 28th 2018: This article is one of the most important I have written. If you haven't read it, please do. This app is a platform that requires hard work and dedication not a magic place where you write one poem and you get a ton of feedback and everyone things you are the best writer. It takes time and effort and all of us working together to promote the writers of this community. I want the best for all of you but it isn't going to happen if you write a few lines and then get pissed off and quit using the app because you didn't get 100 reads and a bunch of people telling you that you are the next big thing. Thank you.
Hello Writer's Outlet community. As we prepare to take this app to the next level with our next update, I wanted to talk about the way this app works or needs to work to keep it going and to help you all get to where you want to be as writers.I created this app in part because I wanted to create a place where all writers could create original stories, books, entertainment and more. I am beyond sick of comic book movies and reboots and sequels and remakes. It is time and has been time for a while to get back to creating new characters, settings and plots and you guys, the amazing Writer's Outlet community have done that. With over 34000 unique posts, we have some really great marketable content. I promote the hell out of all of you whether you know it or not. If you visit any of the Writer's Outlet social media accounts, you will likely find your posts, shared with thousands of followers in addition to the 38000 plus members of this app. This app is a niche app and while I would like to get it to the same level of views as the top apps, I know it is unlikely but we can do better. We have been downloaded over 75000 times on Google Play and over 50000 on Apple.
Our top "competition" Wattpad has been downloaded over 50 million times. Now they have been around for 12 years so they have a hell of a head start but still, I though biased believe Writer's Outlet offers a better experience with better writers of more genres and with the new version, will offer everything they do and more. So tell your friends and family about this app. Promote yours or others writings, music, photos, drawings and videos. Use a Writer's Outlet hashtag like #Writersofwritersoutlet or #writersoutlet or #letitbewritten when you post on social media. Facebook, Instagram and Twitter are great promotional platforms but they are not writing platforms. Engage on our social media accounts, Rate the app 5 stars on Google Play and iTunes and leave a comment. Make this app a must download for everyone because if the right people get on this app, We can get more of you published. I have high hopes for the future of Writer's Outlet and I love and appreciate all of you guys, the members of the Writer's Outlet community. This app is entering a new stratosphere over the next month or so and will live or die based on the response. Help us survive and thrive. Our slogan here is let it be written and here is to the future so we can all do just that here on Writer's Outlet. Thank you all.
