First of all, I have been writing for about 10 years on a somewhat serious basis. Over the past six months, I have started to take it more seriously by becoming self published. After getting very few responses from publishers out there (Some wouldn't call back and some said they weren't interested). The style of writing I do is very niche. I was told this style woudn't suit Ireland, but would instead be better for America/Canada/UK. The markets are much bigger there. With a huge range of topics. Essentially, it comes down to drive, perseverance and committing to something. You need the discipline to write and focus your thoughts. My energy is very.....hyperactive. I have a lot of anxious energy and I need to focus that to write. That's why i ALWAYS have calming music on in the background, while I write. If you want more publicity, recognition and money...you write more and share it more. It's that simple. I have food, clothes, water and family. Everything else is secondary. I don't need a ton of material possessions. I love walking, nature, animals, free-thought and writing. It's a passion, tried and true. I Would love to meet somebody though. I think in my life, that's a real lack at the moment. Theres a sense of feeling happy and content, yet missing something. I think love is what I miss having and giving.
