Do you know what a cymothoa exigua is? If you dont, its okay because in this story I will teach you about them.

A cymothoa exigua, also known as a tongue-eating louse, is a creature that severs the blood vessels in a fish's tongue. A cymothoa exigua enters the fish through the gills and says away at the fish's tongue. Then it lives there.

A female cymothoa exiguas length is 8-12 milimeters (mm) or 0.3-1.1 inches long and its width is 4-14 mm or 0.16-0.55 inches wide. A male can be 7.5-15 mm or 0.3-0.6 inches long and 3-7 mm or 0.12-0.28 wide.

Did you know all of that about a cymotha exigua? What cool creature will you learn about next?
