The Wolf's Howl (2, P1) A Strange Rescuer Read Count : 136

Category : Books-Fiction

Sub Category : Fantasy
Ruby braced herself for the claws, the teeth, the pain. Instead, she heard a thump.

She looked up, imagining a prince ego would take her to a castle and love her. Instead, a werewolf girl stood over her.

Well, that's the next best thing.

The werewolf that attacked her was lying, winded, in the dirt. Apparently, this young girl, maybe seven or eight, had flung this huge thing onto the ground. Ruby looked at the girl, then down the street. A voice was calling.

A boy came running down the street, calling, "Dian! Dian!" Ruby almost passed out from looking at him... the werewolf girl rolled her eyes.

"Dian!" The boy flung his arms around the big werewolf. "Dian! Why did you run off? Dian!" He looked up and saw Ruby, drooling, and the were-girl, staring like she was sightless.

"I'm Felix, by the way. I hope you aren't hurt. You know, my werewolf is devoted to me... he overreacts when he is away..." Ruby couldn't speak, her happiness being so great. "Is that werewolf girl yours? She seems like a stray. Where is her collar?" Ruby was about to deny it, when Felix went on. "I like a person and her werewolf. So devoted, so passionate. It makes such a great combo, ya know?" It was obvious that Felix was a talker, and Ruby wanted him... the were-girl sighed. It seemed like she had another master.

When Ruby got home, clutching a paper with a phone number on it, and a werewolf in the other, she set up the pen she used to have for her poodle, and put the girl in it. That would be her home for now.

The girl looked up at her. Those eyes... she had to be one of those werewolves who could only see in their half form. Well, not a problem. It was only for Felix anyways... so who cared.

Ruby went to the grocery store first, and got herself some food, as well as some meat and some wolf shake (like a milkshake, but with essential nutrients for werewolves) powder for the girl. Then, she went to the pet store for some plastic chew sticks, a collar, a bottle (for the wolf shake) and, after some thinking, bought some gumm (specialy made for wolves) with the last of her weekly money.

Her house situation was the fave as everyone elses. Kids her age would live in a separated part of the house next to the gurdian and be given some money each week.

When she got home, she dragged the extra blanket and some overlarge pillows to the cage, dropped in a chew stick, and dialed Felix's number. It was a good day.

Continued later today.
