It sleeps silently inside the forest under a dome. A very peaceful and serene mood drifts through the trees. All is rested for the meal to come, for the time ticks close. Mere seconds and the lights pop on. The creature stirs in its sleep. A door, from the entrance of the dome, slids open. A family of three is shoved in. It begins.. Music pops on, a piano tune rising up and down, in a uplifting melody. The creature reaches out with its paws and stretches. If a creature like this could smile, then the expression on its mussel is one of bliss. Lovely, meal time, it thinks. As the song plays on and the vocals come in, the creature sings along, making a odd, but beautiful duet. "Try not to get worried. Try not to turn unto problems that upset yoou." The family, unware of the creature stalking them, starts fussing and fighting over what to do. The young boy listens to the song. He picks up the second vocals singing with the lady. The voice is a baritone, reverberating with a gutter growl. "Don't you knoow..everything's alright, yes, everything 's fine..and we want you to sleep well toniiight.." The father, berating his wife, stops when he sees the expression on her face change. Her look says something terrifying is behind him. He turns around quickly and sees, up on a rocky ledge, a huge wolf looking down at them. The wolf seems to grin at them and begins to sing again. "Let the world turn without you toniiight.." With that line the wolf jumps down and rushes towards the father. The father, being of cowardly nature and no honor, tosses his wife in front of him. Then makes a break for the trees. The boy stands there crying for his mother as the wolf jumps her and rips into her throat. After the wolf is sure that the mother is dead, it looks up at the boy. It mussel glistening with the blood of the poor boy's mother. The boy makes a run for it. The wolf lets the boy go for now and finishes feasting on the mother. Afterwards, the wolf resumes his hunt. Not in a hurry, the creature pratically prances after its prey, continuing the singing. "And you'll feel..everything's alright, yes, everything's fine..and its cool, and the ointment sweet.." The wolf chuckles when he sees the father trying to scramble up a tree. It moves to the the tree, stand on its hind legs and buries its claws into the fathers back. The wolf brings the father back down to the ground hard. The father is shaken and dizzly looks up at the wolf's face hovering over him. "Close your eyes..Close your eyes..Relax, and think of nothing tonight.." The wolf sings this line and the father screams. Then the wolf bites into the father's face, the cries echo into the wolf's mouth and soon drowns in blood. The last survivor, the boy, trembles in a bush at the edge of the forest against the back of the dome. He tries hard to control his erratic breathing, which gets even more erratic when the wolf comes to view. Smug bastard just trots along, casually scanning the surroundings for the boy. The boy gets a sudden cramp in his leg and falls back on his butt. This causes the bush to shake and the wolf pauses. The wolf then turns his head to the bush. The boy makes a run for it and the wolf follows. Turn after turn, the boy begins to realize that trying to escape is pointless. There is no way out of this freakin dome. He stops at the glass wall and turns to face the wolf. "Why...Why did you have to eat my parents? Why do you want to eat me? Aren't you freakin full yet?!" The boys screams at the wolf. Tears are just flowing down his cheeks. The wolf smirks, "I might get full of meat sometimes, but I never can have enough fear. And as the song reaches its climax, the wolf slowly bears down on the boy repeating with the song, "Close your eyes, Close your eyes, and relax." And background vocals chant, "Everything's alright, yes, everything's alright" ------------------------------------------------------ This is a little thing I thought up when I heard the song "Everything's Alright" from the Jesus Christ Superstar musical.. I thought this would give a new chilling meaning to the words. Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading.
