He called her Lucy. He said she lived in the forest. She wondered? The forest! All she ever dreamed of was the gardens.
She never saw her gardens. So when she grew up she ran. She ran to the safest place she remembered. She ran to find him. She ran to the forest. She grabbed his Forgotten sweater and then she ran for the City. She ran to find him. He loved the forest but he had to go back home to the City. She jumped on the train and she closed her eyes. She thought to herself. This big city. She felt helpless not knowing where to begin to find him. She then remembered the ferry. The statue. She smiled. The Ferry was near her birthplace. She left the train. She ran throughout the city barefoot. She ran and boarded the ferry. She inhaled his scent on his sweater. Then she remembered. She remembered the City. She remembered why she ran into the forest. She shivered. She cried deeply. She grabbed her switchblade and cut her hair off. She wrapped her head in his sweater and ran. She ran endlessly. She became exhausted so she curled up under a tree and fell asleep in the sun. Hours later she woke up. She looked around. She grasped what was in her hand. A mirror and a sunflower. She looked in the mirror and the sweater was gone. She inhaled the scent of the sunflower. She frowned. He brought her back to the forest. He left the city to bring her to safety. She walked to the stream and sat next to her Rock. A small white envelope awaited her. She opened it and a royal blue stone ring fell out. She read her letter.
Lucy,
Remember me. Wear this ring as my promise. Our promise. Ill be back again someday. I promise. Our promise. Never cry. I have my sweater. Thank you. Find happiness, love and Joy. At least try. If you never find those things remember our sacrifice. Remember me. I love you!
You are my best friend. Smile.
Elliott. 😓

The parable never made sense.
One day it will
