Nights did a number on her, not just any nights, the ones where she could find a deeper feeling looking at the city lights from a distance, the full and new moon coming out, sitting next to the driver every time she took public transport home. And what made it better was her upbeat music that made her want to hit the road without a destination. Today for the first time she knew who she wanted to go with, the same one that had her heart the very first time they locked eyes. He was no where near her, both physically and emotionally. But she had felt this way for two years now. She was stepping into the third one and he still wasn't hers, yet in her head they had talked about endless things about each other, I mean there was that time he had told her about how he first learnt to ride a bike when he was a kid and fallen off of it. They were seated on the floor, he was telling her about him without knowing just how much it meant to her. She loved him, she always has, even the times she told herself she was done waiting on the sidelines, she still ended back here, with the hopes that this time the patience will finally pay off, she had considered other guys severally, but none could march up to his qualities. She was here giving it one last shot. On this night she was allowing herself to have faith in them again, maybe this will be it. Maybe this time will actually lead to everything she had envisioned. It was only a matter of time and she will find out. His birthday was coming up in 3 days and hopefully she'll get to miraculously be a part of it. Only God knew, only Him.
