PROLOGUE
"Its May 27th, 11:47. You know what that means... You're about to be a woman." I've been reciting this in the mirror for the past 20 minutes, thinking about what it feels like to finally be 18. Free, out in the world, and can get out of this horrid place I call home. My parents wouldn't care less if I had a party here, especially for my birthday. Well... That would be if they cared at all. You see, my parents wouldn't exactly be the kind of people you would call "there". I would think of them as more or less captors, and Im the one on life sentence. Not anymore... Im on my own now. No more parents, no more school, and no more boring life... I stare into the mirror a little longer, getting lost in my world of thoughts, until the doorbell rings.

ACT 1
"Heeeeeyyyyyy!" Wow, I must live an odd life, because I don't renember having this many friends... Bri and Karson are my best friends, the people I love, and my only friends in the first place. They were the ones who decided to throw me a party this week, even with my judgement and doubt that they can pull it off. Turns out, they managed to bring the entire high school along with them, as they swarm around the yard and into the house. "Wellll... How is it? We did a great job, didn't we, Karson?" inquired Bri, her face glowing with excitement. Karson, having been through some tough emotional wreckage this past weekend, was unable to respond, being glued to her phone and all. "Never mind, Karson, just talk to your little boyfriend or whatever..." was all she can musker up, possibly hoping not to start a fight. "So... Who wants drinks?"

*The lights go out. Nothing but black appeared and swallowed the surface of the yard, and engulfed the house into darkness.*

"Shit..." Josh appears, in his usual attire: White button up shirts, slicked around hair, and maybe even a necklace if he felt.  "Don't worry, its just the fuse box. Ill need somebody to come with, I will need some assistance with that damned thing." Brady, his jock buddy, agrees, and they head down into the basement.
