Phenix and Shawn just got married and decided to go on a trip to the Arizona desert for their honeymoon.
Phenix opened her eyes and quickly realized what day it was.   She leaped up from the bed shrieking with excitement. Shawn woke up to Phenix nudging him ruffly and whispering "do you know what today is?" Shawn then quickly realized what day it was. It's time to board the plane! Phoenix and Shawn were on the plane for five hours. It was a long trip but they made it. When they got to their hotel close to the desert that they would be venturing in they went ahead and settled in. The next few hours of that day were spent in pools, restaurants, and malls. The next day they packed their bags with snacks, water, and bandages and went on their way to the Deep desert. They arrived at the what seemed to be 200 ft deep Canyon. Shawn started to dig a hole in the ground next to the canyon so that he can put a clamp into the ground to attach two ropes. They attached the ropes and started heading down the side wall of the canyon. All of a sudden Phoenix's rope started to tear. They were only around 30 feet from the bottom of the canyon so Shawn attached Phenix to his rope and started to head down again. All of a sudden Shawn's rope snapped and they fell 20 feet to the ground. They were both knocked out when they hit the floor of the canyon. A few hours later Shawn woke up. It was dark outside and Phenix was still knocked out laying lifelessly over a rock. Shawn went over to Phoenix and shook her awake. Phoenix screamed and then said "I... I think my leg is broken"! Shawn scrambled to find sticks and bandages so he could brace her leg. Shawn put Phoenix's
  leg back in to place and lined up the sticks beside her leg and tied the bandages around it. Since Phoenix is now stable, Shawn left her for a few minutes to find  fire wood. After making a fire and gathering leaves and soft things for bedding they ate the two granola bars they had packed. Shawn told Phoenix that she would be fine and they dozed off to sleep. The next day Shawn spent hours trying to find a way out of the canyon. After lots of thinking and searching Shawn decided that he could tie the two ropes together and use the clamps to slowly but successfully pull Phenix up and out of the canyon. Shawn tied the torn ropes together and connected them to the clamps. He made a makeshift stretcher and put Phoenix on it. He tied the ropes to the stretcher and then tied the ropes to himself and started climbing. Shawn was close to the top when one of the ropes snapped. He put the clamps in place and slowly lifted phenix. Shawn finally got Phenix to the top and all that was left to do was for Shawn to get on top. Then. Shawn's last rope snapped! Shawn was hanging on to the stretcher that Phenix was on. The stretcher started to slip! Phenix tried to help Shawn but she was to weak. Shawn said "I need to let go..." Phenix screamed "no"! I will get you up... Don't worry! The stretcher started to slip even more. Phenix said "you said we would be ok..." Shawn said "no... I said you would be ok!"  Shawn let go...  while falling to his death Shawn screamed "I love you" Phenix was devastated and almost wanted to fall in after him but if she did that there would be no point of his death. "He did this for me" she whispered to herself . If I fall in we might as well just have died down in the bottom of that thing. I will live for him as he died for me. She crawled back to the nearest city ware she got help. Phenix did not get remarried but lived a very successful life. She became a famous doctor who saved millions of lives.
