3 o'clock in the morning, I jump out of my bed when I was awoken by a huge thunderstorm with some heavy rain. I then run out of the room when I saw a mouse crawl on my floor out of nowhere. I then go to the living room and turn on all the lights. I then turn on the TV to try and catch up on my TV show, but the thunder still shook me a little. I threw on my earmuffs in hopes that it would go away, but it never did. I eventually fell asleep at 7 in the morning when I woke up at noon to realize that I missed work. I then step outside to get some fresh air but as I went to go pick up my dog's toy from the grass my house slippers got wet. I yelled at the sky, "WHY CAN'T THE GRASS JUST BE DRY ALREADY?!" I walked back in the house to make my coffee and when I went to go get my wallet from the car I noticed that the grass was completely dry. I couldn't believe it from my own eyes that the grass instantly got dry right when I said that. I went inside with the same thought, and then as I settled down to watch a movie, I got a phone call from a friend and he asked me to take some money. When I asked him how much he would give me, he said he would give me $15.50 an hour * 8 hours. At first i was confused but I was like "Okay.." He showed up to my door and gave me the money and only then did I realize that I got paid for not going to work today. Boy am I just lucky?
