I think it was about 12:00 am when I woke up, but I didn't  have a watch or anything like that so how was I suppost to know what time it was. I stood up and immediately looked down at my arm, I literally had to use all my energy to keep myself from screaming. The gash had spread all the way up my arm not even a centimeter away from my shoulder. I woke my dog up, and he just stood up then rolled on his stomach begging for a belly rub. He hadn't got one since the zombie outbreak started, so I picked my good hand up and rubbed it.  After that we went looking for some better shelter. When we got to town and looked at the buildings it looked like they were a billion years old. I paused mid step I heard a shotguns safety release turn off, and right as I was about to turn my head whoever it was pulled the trigger.
