..."So what so you do? If you don't mind me asking..." I asked her as I looked to her notebook, as if I was trying to get a peek of what she was jotting on her paper. She looked at me with a smile before responding "Well I work with my father at his store, and I'm a student at Milton James College, I take business classes there." "Oh really? Cool! For a community college, they have a great business program... So you trying to own your own business huh?" My response as I still wore the smile from before. "Yeah, I'd like to have my own business one day, I want to open like an antique shop. I'm also learning a lot from my dad, working with him each day." "That sounds cool, when your shop do open, you got a customer in me." I told her with a smile. "Thank you, I appreciate that. So, what is it that you do?" "I'm a bartender at the Ace of spades club." "Oh your a bartender? Do you ever mix like your own crazy made up drinks, or do you keep it simply menu?" She asked me with a bit of a giggle... goodness please keep laughing, I thought to myself. I chuckled a bit myself as I responded... "Well I actually did invite one drink that my manager added to the menu, after testing it for a week with the customer, it got lots of great feedback, so he made it a permanent fixture." "Really? Well I'm not to much of a drinker, but I'll have to make sure I stop by sometime and try your drink." She told me with that gorgeous smile of hers. "I'd like that." I said, simply. She then looked at her watch, she quickly started putting her stuff back into her backpack. "I didn't realize the time, I got to get to the store... Well it's been nice talking with you, but I have to be leaving." She stood up from the table, and I stood up as well. "Hold on, I didn't even get your name?" my words to her, I had to get her info, I mean... What if I never see her again. She then smiled at me. "Sasha, Sasha Cross." I smiled back at her. "Well Sasha, can I call you sometime?" Her smile seemed to get a little brighter and more beautiful. "I'd like that." she responded, continuing. "May I see your phone?" I took my phone phone my side pocket and handed it to her, she took it and inputted her name and phone number in, she then handed my phone back to me. "I can't wait to hear from you... See you later." She told me, smiling, as she turned and walked away, leaving the coffee shop. I just stood there like a dear caught in headlights. I know we only talked for a few minutes or so, but the convo just felt right, this young lady was just so down to earth, seems so sweet, even a bit if a sense of humor. I don't know what's to come, but I can't wait to see if the future holds a lil some special for Craig Wikkens and Sasha Cross... Craig and Sasha? Yeah, that has a nice ring to it. Now I have another reason, besides the Maple bacon glazed coffee, to love The Casual Cafe.
