The city burned, big red flames lit up the night sky with an erie glow. It was just yesterday they were saying that the city would stand forever. Now it has crumbled into dust and ashes. All because of a stupid game, or so we had thought at the time. Now the city has turned from the royal colors of gold and silver and purple to the fiery colors of red and orange and yellow. I stood there at a safe distance watching the city burn, wishing there was something I could do but it was too late. Why were we so foolish? Why? I wish it were my curse to burn instead of the city's. But my curse is to live with it.
