In the year 2026 scientists discovered a new chemical hidden deep underground. The new chemical was called XE48. After a few experiments, the scientists decided that it could be lethal in high quantities, other than that it was safe for humans to be around. By the year 2030, the government decided to test it on people, thinking that it held healing properties that could fight against major illnesses. To test this theory they collected over two hundred volunteers with chronic or terminal illnesses. 
    
Most of the volunteers had some form of cancer. At first, the people working on the project started out in small doses, but, after no results, had them raised. This time they got promising results, they hoped that another raise of the dosage would speed up the healing process. This proved to be a bad idea, with the high dosages of XE48 things were thrown into chaos. The volunteers, as well as anyone else who came in contact with the chemical, all experienced the same symptoms. 
   
 At first, it started out as a normal fever, but as time went on all those infected have received excessive vomiting, coughing up blood, seizures, and a loss of hair. They also wouldn't eat, to get anyone to eat you had to strap them down in a stretcher and forcefully feed them through a tube. The chemical was never released to the public. All the workers and volunteers were killed to keep the contamination from spreading. What nobody knew was that the chemical had already evolved and became airborne. 
    
The illness caused a worldwide epidemic, although some seemed immune to the strange sickness. They are known as supernaturals, also known as Supes for short. It was then that humanity had opened its eyes and realized that all of the fairy tales are real, including our nightmares. A special group of the Supes called the Fae saw an opportunity and took it. The Fae, ruler of the Supes, would reveal the cure. In exchange, they would rule over all of humanity. All of the world leaders came together to make the most important decision in history. 

In the year of 2045 they made their choice, the deal was begrudgingly accepted. In the year 2059 everyone was cured and the disease was no more. It was then that the long task of deciding how the Fae would rule began, it would take three years to figure out.
    
Since one ruling family can't control the entire world they split the world up into multiple kingdoms each one required to follow the same social system and the original set of laws. Of course, a kingdom may pass its own laws, so long as it doesn't have a lot impact on other kingdoms. The Fae decided everyone should be split into groups: downworlders, upworlders, humans, dark, and light. To be able to tell who belonged to what group the Fae created labels for each group which would be put on everyone's shoulder, on their clothes, or as a bracelet. The downworlders would get the moon to represent their ties with darkness. Upworlders get the label of the sun to represent their ties with light magic. 
    
The dark and light groups label depends on who you are born as. Only the Fae and Mages are put into these groups. The Fae are born either light or dark. The light Fae get a label of their wonderful and majestic white wings. While the dark Fae get a label of their mysterious and beautiful black wings. To separate the normal Fae from the royal. It was decided that for the royal Fae’s label they would have a crown encircling their wing. Mages decide what group they will go into and what magic they will major in at the age of eighteen. 

Dark mages will get a black staff and major in the dark arts. While light mages will get a white staff and major in white magic. Until they choose, their label will be the yin yang to show the balance of dark and light. Prior to the choosing, mages will study both the dark and light ways of magic to help them decide. Humans took a little while longer to figure out, not as long as the mages and fae labels, but it’s a close tie. In the end they were given the tree of life to represent their will to live.

Once the labeling situation was settled the Fae decided that there will be two ruling families, one dark, and one light. The dark Fae will rule over the downworlders and dark mages. While the light Fae will rule over upworlders and light mages. Both the dark Fae and light Fae will rule over the humans and make them into slaves. Now, the humans wanted to be free from the slavery that the Fae had planned for them and everyone else wanted rank and power. Riots began to occur everywhere, increasing in violence every day their demands went unanswered.
    
To please everyone, in the year 2063 all of the ruling families in each kingdom put their heads together and came up with a solution. This solution was a two-part game called Survival of The Fittest. The first part of the game is for humans, they must fight each other in a deathmatch, the last standing human after three games will win their freedom. The next part of the game will be those fighting for rank and power. The Supes and/or humans will be randomly paired up where they will fight until their opponent can no longer go on. The winners will get money and, depending on how many battles a person wins and if they manage to impress the royals, over time their rank will go up as well, of course this is all after three games have passed. They held these games once in the middle of the month every four months. A person gets ten rounds to beat their opponent, if nobody wins they either both proceed, both are disqualified, or if it’s Supe against human, the Supe wins by default. 
    
The system worked fine until a secret type of Supe, that not even the Fae new of, started questioning the system and the Fae's rule. The Fae called them Zabyty, meaning forgotten in their language. As the Zabyty continued to fight, the Fae decided to take matters into their own hands to stop the Zabyty from ruining their perfect world. They sent their soldiers after the Zabyty, ordering them to attack and kill on sight. To the Fae's surprise, none of the soldiers or their own magic power seemed to affect them. In fear of the Zabyty's power in 2110 the Fae passed something called the Z Quarry, this allowed everyone of any rank to hunt down and kill the Zabyty for fun and sport. 
    
Any Zabyty captured was allowed to be kept as slaves. If any were brought to the palace they would be forced to fight in the games for nothing, slowly and painfully tortured to death, or be experimented on to find out the secret of their power and how to absorb it so the Fae can one day take it as their own. It was also in fear of the awful acts being carried out against them that the Zabyty ran off into hidden locations to protect themselves, where they started new lives and villages of their own. They even adopted a new language and renamed themselves Chistyy, meaning pure. Since then, the Chistyy have lived out their lives training to defend themselves and praying that they, one day, can return to the society that has abandoned them.
