I sit back and look at the time that has past
Who know that this friendship could last
Through the children and the exes
Never knew it would be our turn next
We've always been connected
Its kinda strange
Its not physical, emotional, or sexual
Our connection is more intellectual
As teenagers we said us against the world
But what did we know as a boy and a girl
It seems as if the time is never right
This go around we're gonna take flight
You as my King
Me as your Queen
Our kingdom will reign
Above all others
Because our love will uncover
Undeniable beauty like you can only imagine
When will we become one
Only time will tell
Almost 2 decades
This friendship has never failed
The next step is commitment
A few times we've been tempted
Never made it official
We just let it flow day by day
With no issues
So we say all the time
One day you'll be mine
When it happens it will be Divine
