"The jamming, the jamming was unbelievable good! Great show, boys!”
They were in reserved special table just for them, the bar was expensive, one of their promoters was buying them drinks one after another.
“We worked a lot” said Mike, but it was hard to hide that his satisfaction with the results.
Chaz was sitting at the middle rested arms on the seat back and looking meaningful at every girl passing their table. Will was removed the microphone of his guitar, but still playing some familiar song, drinking from his glass from time to time. On the right place from him was Alex, who didn’t even tried to hide he was happy, next to him – Simon, man with full body and pale hair tied on a tail, who was keep ordering drinks for them and telling them how great they were. Mike was beating with fingers on the table in the rhythm of the music, looking at a cute girl at the next table when he was thinking nobody was looking at him.
“Look, guys” started the man from far, bending over the table as he was about to share with them important secret. “I know you have three more concerts before the season’s end, which was killing it!” he acted at the end of the sentence. “But what would you say for one little concert at Boston? Sales will jump if…”
“No.” said Alex before even Simon could finish.
“Eh” he lifted his head. “Don’t talk like this, man, think about it. Fans will be crazy…”
“We had an agreement for twenty concerts” said Alex with unshakable voice. “We will play twenty concerts.”
“It would not be even a concert, just a few songs…”
“I said, no.”
Suddenly the atmosphere got cold, Mike came back on their table, listening to the conversation, avoiding being involved. Chaz put down his arms and Will raised his eyes from the guitar, ready to join if needed. But it seemed Alex was enough to deal with situation.
“You are such a stubborn” Simon pointed at him, obviously regretting he was spent so much cash to buy them drinks. But that was only his firs mistake tonight.
“Come again?”
Alex bends so for a moment there were a few centimeters between their faces. Darkness was spreading from him.
“When I say we are not going to make anymore concerts, it means just that. I’m not going to take boys to Boston just to make less than fifty, when your fat ass will gain twice more than that. Am I clear?”
Lines of his face made it so cold that man rushed stand up and step as far from him as he could. There was a fright on his face when he turned back to them. He suddenly opened his mouth to argue, but Will drop his guitar on the table with clear sharp gesture, Simon hurried to the door.
“What a rat” Tonny mumbled.
As they were staying in silence, Chaz started laughing loud, Alex looked at him bored, Mike felt awkward and took a sip from his glass.
“Did you see him, how he rolled his ass to the exit?” Chaz was laughing. “I doubt they will come to bother us soon!”
“That’s the bonus of having undead into your band” said Will.
“Dude, undeads are zombies” told him Chaz.
“Why you have to ruin the joke every time…”
“You ruined it from the beginning!”
Alex rolled his eyes and lift his hand to attract the attention of the waitress, who hurried to them, trying not to stumble over in her too tight skirt.
“What would you like?” she gave them wide smile, putting her hair behind her ear.
“Double scotch” said Will.”
“White Russian.”
“Whiskey, without ice.”
 “Same here” nodded Tonny.
“And for you?” she looked at Alex, he smiled playful.
“I want in kind.”
She laughed and her cheeks became pink, then hurried to fulfill their orders.
“You would not going to…?” asked Mike.
“I’m not that stupid, man, not in the middle of the full bar.”
Still when the girl returned he took the drinks from her hands putting them on the table, and her on his knee.
“It’s time for you to have some fun.”
“My shift ends at three am.” she told him, giggling.
“Then” he got closer to her neck whispering “I will take you at three.”
A few more toasts, then finally the girl from the next table pluck up some courage to come and speak with Michael, who dissapeared somewhere for a long time with her.
“Mister “Follow the rules” finally decided to take it easy” commented Chaz, he was already drunk.
“He deserves it”
Tonny tried to put back his glass on the table but he drop it and it break on the floor.
“Let’s call him a taxi” said Will, the only one not drunk among them.
“We are going home together” said Alex.
“And you are not going to stay with the chick?”
“I am. But I will finish fast.”
With these last words Alex left through the door followed by Will’s worried eyes. But after the second drink he forgot about his worries, and soon a group of girls passed their table and boys invited them.
It was early at morning after three am, Alex came back and picked them up to go home.
#“Was it good?” asked Tonny, who was supporting Chaz, almost in unconsciousness.
He smiled but didn’t answer.
“And for her?”
“She will have headache tomorrow, but yes, she is fine.”
They loaded into the service jeep and driving through the shined from multiple colored lights city, today and here they were immortal, and tomorrow…

Don’t look back, live for today. Tomorrow is too late.
