Im speaking for myself here bit i think this could be indicitive of a wider issue but i think what a lot of us want is comfort. Comfort to be loved and cared about. In a world where there is a lot of violence and war, to talk about comfort and romanticizing love and trust seems almost alien. 

It's the comfort of being hugged, someone to listen to you and someone to really care about you that makes life worth living.

The power that one gets from greed, money and control is not everlasting. It is very short term. To know and feel that you are loved and cared for is forever.

I believe that so many people are in DESPERATE need of true and authentic love and care. What can we get if we don't get love? Angry, fearful and paranoid.

The human race dosen't have to respect eachother but....we need a basic and fundemental love and care for other people.
