Would they accept us, would they reject us? I had no idea. I hoped we could go to Kniion, I didn't even know If it actually existed, or if it was a children's tale or a hyper-realistic dream. Petal was pacing the area, Apple was sitting patiently, Mark was using a piece of scrap metal to draw on an old car and Riley was staring at me like a creep. He did look nice, I do like him, it's just that I'm not sure if he is made for me.
"Argh, heck, we don't even know if Mr I'm-Awesome-Cuz-I-Have-Light-Powers-And-You-Don't will even help us." Mark complained.
We all laughed at the name he gave Khol, but I was sure he would help.
"Who said Khol won't help? I think he will anyway." I objected in defence of him.
"And who said he will? Him, not us. Not anyone else. They might have left already for all you know." Mark retorted back to me.
"Alright, spelling lesson. S-H-U-T is shut, and U-P is up. Put it together, shut up." Riley smiled at us, as if being polite.
After that, we did what the spelling lesson told us to do.
------ -----
We should take the humans with us, they won't be safe here.
We can't! Humans have never stepped on Kniion, and never will.
I think we can change that.
High Commander Neo! Erm, what are you saying? Change what has been going on for years?
Yes. Eventually it will happen, let it happen in the right way. Bring them to Kniion.
Yes, Sir.
------ -----
Soon after our little arguement, like a miracle, Khol walked over with the rest of his squad. The what looked like the captain walked up to us, examining us carefully, before nodding to his troops. Just before we got into the ivy-green dropship that recently arrived to collect us, another ship entered the area, and one golden, small one-man drop pod was sent down, crashing onto the ship. Fire exploded into the area, destroying the ship and throwing us all backwards. I had suffered injuries to my right arm and leg, but it was only a couple of bruises. The Kni quickly extinguished the fires before leaping on top of the dropship to examine the drop pod. I followed them, and started to help pry it open. Out came two shaken-up Pho, who looked like had sustained wounds from darkness blasts.
"Where are we?" The smaller one asked.
"Earth, hopefully. Oh dear, we seem to be surrounded. I recommend just, I don't know, shuffling away, slowly, carefully, and I've heard Kni hate the look of our faces, so be sure to look the other way." The larger, more experienced-looking one answered.
I immediately prepared my poleaxe, and the Kni prepared their Light magic.
"Now, now, no need for violence! We can explain why we are here."
"Hurry up then, my poleaxe says it is hungering for Pho blood."
"Ah, alright, where shall we start..." The Pho on the right started to explain why they were there, occasionally interrupted by the one on the left to add something in, or a rude remark from Mark.
"Sounds like you've had a bumpy ride, Knuckleheads. But how do we know this is true?"
"Alright, it's either what we just explained, or what you think but don't know."
"I'll go with what I think but don't know, thanks." Riley responded, a grim expression painted on his face.
"Well, my name is Slir and this is, well, I don't actually know his name yet, so..."
"I'm Breften, but you can call me Ben for short."
I raised an eyebrow, but just nodded.
"Alright, great, not particularly nice to meet you, but nice to meet you." Mark replied.
"I'm Sapphire. Nice to meet you. Ignore Mark, he is the biggest SOB I have ever met."
"Watch your tongue, New Blood." Mark glared at me, giving me that death stare again.
"Well, while you two argue AGAIN, I'm Riley, this is Petal and Apple."
"And I'm Khol!" Khol butted in, "Was that a good time to say it? I hope so."
I rolled my eyes while Breften and Slir chuckled.
"Well, seems you have had a change of heart, but we will be watching you. Especially if me and Mark were targets of yours."
"Oh don't worry, dear. We won't touch a hair of you or your SOB here."
"Alright, alright, I get it. I'm a SOB, now stop with the jokes and insults and all that." Mark admitted, fed up.
"Okay, so, how we gonna get to Kniion if our ride is blown up and barbequed?" I questioned, staying serious.
"Ah, well that's where I come in. We hijac a Pho dropship." Breften smiled as eyes shifted in shock over to where he was resting.
"Firstly, how you gonna get one of them over here? Secondly, how do we know it's not an ambush?" Riley eyed him suspiciously.
"Firstly, a drop pod isn't gonna bring us back to Phonir. Slir here can pretend that I blackmailed him to come with me; he has killed me and eliminated the targets, so he needs a dropship. Secondly, you don't have to trust me, just go with the flow."
"Fine, but don't you dare double-cross us. I'll be there to give you a nice, slow death if you do."
"Whatever." Breften responded, before muttering something in what I thought was in Phoese, the Pho's language, to Slir.
"I'll get the transmitter, if it still works."
"Don't be long, Knucklehead." I responded casually.
After having to fidget for about five minutes, Slir came back, carrying a small yet intimidatingly pointed radio-like device, which was probably the transmitter. Breften suddenly pressed a big, red, shiny button and Slir started speaking Phoese into it.
"They are sending a ship now. Should arrive in about ten minutes."
About twenty minutes later, the ship arrived. We all got on board, discovering the ship was autopiloted here so we didn't need to take any crew members out. Then, the ship lifted off from Earth and into the sky.
