Hidden Feelings
Ally sat and watched the sun go down from her porch swing. It had been a long year, but once again she would get another chance to start over. As her feet swang off the edge of the swing, her eyes roamed the atmosphere around her. The sun was beautiful. The pink, blue, and red, colors of the sky blended so perfectly together. By staring at it, the sky made Ally relax and it took her mind off the horrible day she had just experienced. She went inside and quickly fell asleep on the couch.
‘I ran past the abbondon forest hoping to get away from whatever the hell was chasing me. Whatever it was, it was incredibly fast. So fast I could hardly find time to escape. I turned around, it was something large and black. It was so big, I swore to myself I was going to die.’ Ally sat up, awaken by her barking dog, she looked around. ‘Thank god it was just a dream’ She thought silently to herself. She stood up to see who was outside. However, she didn’t see a car. Ally slid on her flip flops and trudged outside.
She saw caucasian man standing in her driveway. His hair was more blonde and wavier than her own. She had never seen the man before. But she knew it was not going to brighten her day. “Hello Mrs. Jones” said the handsome man as he started to make a strut towards her. “Actually, it’s Ally. My husband has um… well… let's not discuss that at the moment. What do you need?” Ally corrected him with a stern voice. “Sorry Ally, I didn’t understand. Anyway, the payment plan you have recently signed up for has now been declined. I apologize, I know it must be a rough day but mam you have until midnight to buy another plan to pay off your home, or you can file for bankruptcy.” Ally burst into tears. She didn’t understand why all of this had to happen to her. The man felt no need to comfort her, therefor he left. Ally crouched down next to her dog, she put her head in her hands and cried for hours. It had really been a rough day.
As she heard the phone ring, Ally’s bright blue eyes dried as her long blonde hair was brushed from her eyes, she answered the annoying ring. “Hey Ally, its Mom just checkin in on you making sure everything is okay?” Her mother on the other end of the phone sounded very worried about Ally. “Yes mother, I am perfectly fine.” Ally tried to hold her voice inside her and finally her mother hung up the phone after saying how much she loved her.
Ally hurt inside so much. She felt as if the fear and hurt was chasing her down to a point she would never be able to come back from. Finally Ally had to decide whether she wanted to stay hurt and fearful, or if she was going to do something about this.
Ally slammed the phone on the table. “I have had enough.” she looked at her dog like she was speaking to him. Ally grabbed her purse, phone, and car keys and walked out the door. Trying to stay calm, Ally started the car and headed towards the bank. When she got there, she had realized that all of her money had been taken out. And of course, it was by that no good creature she called her husband. Thoughts pounded in her head like a migraine. Ally’s mind started racing, after all this time and she has now seen why her mother never liked the guy. She left with tears flowing like a river from her eyes. As she slumped her way out to the car, she heard her phone start to ring in her purse which was attached to the side of her hip. Ally slowly put her hand in her purse and hit the ‘ignore call’ button without even caring who it was. She knew it was most likely just going to be another person to ruin her day. When she had gotten home, Ally went on a rampage call to her mother about how stupid she had felt. Her mother had never felt more sorry for her. Then the moment Ally had been avoiding finally came.
Ally glanced down at her phone, “Incoming Call From Blocked Number”. She only had one blocked number, which was the no good gold digger. With a large sigh she answered the phone, “What are you going to try to take from me now?”
she said with as much anger as possible but also trying not to scream.
“Nothing, I wanted to know how you are doing?” a man on the other end had replied.
“You walked out, therefor my life is none of your goddamn business any more. If you wanted to know how I was doing maybe you should have asked that as you were draining my bank account.” she whispered a few curses under her breath and waited for a reply.
“I know, it was uncalled for, but I am truly sorry.”
“If youre sorry, give me my money.”
“I can’t, I’m already on the other side of the world, with a new house, a new dog, a new car, and most importantly, a new wife.” And with that Ally ended the phone call. The next day she was forced to evacuate her own home. Ally has lived with her mother before, but she knew this time it would be harder. Ally tried not to cry every second of the day but it was very hard, and it only got worse.
Ally had missed her period for the month. Her mother, frightful of the outcome, bought Ally a pregnancy test. The results made Ally’s life ten times harder to deal with. She was pregnant with her ex-husband's baby. She didn’t want him around her child so she decided to keep the news from him. She was going to file for child support but then he would know something was going on.
As her final month of pregnancy came around the corner, Ally was laying in bed when her water broke. Her mother raced her to the emergency room trying to avoid any bumps. As soon as they got there, Ally couldn’t even make it to the delivery room, she had her baby right outside her car, on a stretcher. She was now blessed with a little baby boy, almost identical to her, that would grow up in her arms.
