Petal and I stood in horror at the heap of bodies. Petal started to cry, and I just stood, terrified of how merciless these creatures were being. I got closer to inspect the bodies, turning away as I realised their souls had been taken and probably enslaved.
"We have to leave. Now. I don't wanna be stuck here when they come back." I ordered, knowing I still probably don't have the authority to do so.
"But, they, no..." Petal's emotions started to overwhelm her.
"Do you want to end up like them? I think not. Now come!" I grabbed her hand, dragging her towards the entrance, where we were greeted by a large number of Pho.
"Heh, heh, heh, well, this is awkward." I commented as we were flanked. I drew out my scavenger staff, pressing a button that turned the electical head into a poleaxe. It looked like we, or I, as Petal couldn't contain herself, would have to fight our way out. Even if it is one verses about sixteen. I striked one soldier on the head, splitting their processor, then flung my poleaxe into another's chest, breaking who knows how many circuits and wires. I pulled it out before dodging a few plasma shots, and pursued the captain of the squad. If their leader falls, there is a chance they will fall back. I ran, launching into the air, bringing the axe down on his head. Before it made contact, the pole was gripped by the captain, his orange eyes glaring at me. After that, I was flung to the ground, skidding at least two metres before crashing into an ancient postbox. The captain laughed, pointing a gun to my head, and suddenly, before it could pull the trigger, Apple charged into the area, leaping onto the captain, clawing it's face. I took advantage of this and hit the captain's legs with my axe, sending him crashing to the ground. Apparently this had an opposite effect on the rest of the Pho, and they all ganged up on us.
"Don't worry, I think I can fight now." Petal reassured, pulling out a pistol. She took two heads off in one go, and I hit one other Pho on the neck, sending it flailing back. We picked the rest of the squad off, before falling onto the ground to treat our wounds. I had a burn from plasma on my leg, and Petal had a burn on her right cheek, accompanied by an electrocal burn on her hand. We were lying on the ground when Riley and Mark came jogging over.
"Your alive! Thank goodness... Oh dear, looks like you got in a bit of a scuffle with the Pho as well? They took the rest of the Alliance member's lives, damn them. And looks like Apple managed to find you as well." Riley laughed as Apple launched onto his back, claws sheathed. A large rumble erupted from the sky, and a shockwave split the clouds in half as a group of ships entered the planet's atmosphere. Drop pods were sent down, about five going to the EDZ, seven to the SDZ, two to the NDZ and one to us in the WDZ. The one coming to us landed about two-hundred and fifty metres away, so we all agreed to see what it was.
"It's as if the stars literally fell from the sky." Petal mumbled as we sprinted over to the drop pod.' Out came what made us all shocked and relieved; it was the Kni.

"Fan out. Khol, go check these survivors out. The rest of us will check for anymore Pho, and eliminate them before more harm is caused.'
"Yes sir."

"Are all of you alright? I have medical supplies if you need it." A Kni Guardian walked over, inspecting all of us. It acknowledged Apple, but it didn't react in any way that showed aggression.
"I think we are alright. Just a few burns and scratches from a skirmish earlier, but so far we are good. Thanks for coming, even if it is slightly late." Riley replied, wondering if the Rho might end up coming as well.
"Good to hear. Well my captain said for me to stay with you while the rest of the squad fan out and dispose of the rest of the Pho. We might as well get to know each other for this short time I am here. I'm Khol, and you?" Khol asked, trying to cheer people up. We all looked at each other, but then a light inturrupted us. Apple had connected himself to an old IPad from the 21st century, and displayed a message reading: 'I'm Stalker-10970223, or Apple now.' Khol chuckled, not expecting an answer from a Stalker, especially one that knew their language. I decided to reply next, "I'm Sapphire. This is Riley, Mark, Petal, and what you have already seen, Apple."
"We don't need you introducing us, New Blood." Mark glared at me, as if indicating he would not forget this.
"I've lasted longer than your 'Ancient Blood' have. So I think I'm a bit more than 'New Blood'. I smirked, and Petal tried to hide laughter, but failed quite badly. Mark growled, and gave me that death stare. Riley acted as if he didn't hear us, but I saw a small smile. It seemed like Khol didn't get the joke, but smiled anyway to make it seem less awkward.
"Well, they might bring us back to Kniion! Where we could get help!" Mark exclaimed, realising it a lot later than I did. "You can bring us to your planet! Can't you?"
"Erm, well, it's not part of our mission, the captain wouldn't be happy and we don't usually have human guests on Kniion." Khol replied, very unsure on what else to say.
"So your going to try? Cmmon! What else can we do here? And maybe it's a part of a change..." He tried to persuade Khol.
"Fine, I'll ask. Not guaranteed they'll agree, though." Khol rolled his eyes.
