I sat staring out of my bedroom window at the super moon which only came once a year on my birthday. I found it stranger than strange at first and decided to investigate but eventually gave up due to the result of nothing. One day I was outside and this made me discover a truth that was buried in front of me. The next day I ran a bath and as soon as the water splashed on me I became water for ten  seconds resulting in turning to a mermaid until dry. I screeched at first and panicked but got used to it soon enough. Being a mermaid was different to humanity, you are without legs you have underwater breathing, you even have powers! I made my best friend stand under the super moon too and now together we share the secret. I have a golden tail and hers is turquoise. My hair turns from blonde to light blonde and hers red to dark blonde. Sometimes it's not always this amazing fantasy dream most girls wish for, you mostly swim into trouble and then poof, if your mistake isn't fixed. Depending on the mistake varies the punishment which isn't a bad legacy to be honest but sometimes merfolk don't think about the law they just do things which gives others consequences too. "Lola!" I called from the school grounds. I chased after her trying to keep up. "LOLA!!!" I screamed finally getting her attention. "Oh sorry Marissa I didn't hear you call i would have come back otherwise. Are we going swimming today?" She said in a hurry. "Yeah we are! And don't worry about you not hearing me it's totally cool." I replied abruptly. "Ok great meet me at the harbour in five Ok?"
