Lost at sea It was day 15, Cora was bored as usual, “This is so boring sitting here frying away in the heat and humidity of the bright sun beating down on us.” Alva just ignored Cora as he normally did. Alva and Cora didn’t get along with each other too often, annoying and boring each other as they were stranded out at sea together. Now it is day 18 and Alva knew better than to drink salt water, so to stay as hydrated as he could he drank his own urine. “ That’s still really disgusting.” Cora said trying not to throw up. “Well it’s better than drinking salt water.” Said Alva laughing as much as he could with a sore throat. Cora turned and said,” How could it be better?” Alva replied,” Well salt water does the opposite of fresh or tap water, the salt dries your mouth of it’s spit and can make you really, really sick.” Cora then looked down at the water, he quickly reached over the side of the boat and quickly graded a hand full of salt water, then started to drink it. Alva then slapped the rest of the salty water out of Cora’s hand and shouted,” Are you trying to kill yourself.” Which after that, Cora then pushed Alva away. Alva came at Cora trying to hit him back, then Cora tackled Alva to the deck of the boat. They started kicking and punching until then both stopped and when to their separate sides of the boat. They were both in pain and upset that each other got hurt over something so stupid as drinking salt water. It had been four days since they had a full conversation. Nether one apologized for the brawl that broke out. That morning Alva had been trying to catch fish with his bare hands, but it wasn’t going as planned and Alva was getting frustrated. It was the start of the morning for day 30, Waves and waves and waves of boredom as Alva and Cora try to stay alive. But the boredom didn’t last for long suddenly terror filled the boat as a Huge wall of black busted out of the water. The big powerful waves created by the blackwall, quickly pushed away the boat. Then the blackwall crumbles in front of the boat. The boat was thrown back again, making Alva and Cora fall to the bottom of the boat. Alva and Cora thought that it was over but just then, the part of the black wall went above the water and towered over the boat. It splashed down even harder than the first throwing huge waves of water into the boat hitting Alva and knocking Cora out of the bout. When the waves hit Alva, he was out cold for two days. Day 32, Alva tasted salt water in his mouth. It was so dry it could catch on fire. He slowly opened his eyes to see five seagulls all around and over him. One of the seagulls with only one eye, pecked Alva on the nose dangerously close to his eye and out of instinct he hit the bird and they all took off. Alva then tried to get to his feet to see if Cora was alright, but when he looked around he saw that not only was the whale gone but so was Cora. Alva started to panic thinking that he wouldn’t survive without the company of Cora. But then he felt a pain in his heart, because the last thing they did was fight each other and that that was the last thing Cora did before the whale took Cora to the deeps of the ocean never to be seen again.
