Our Diamond shines bright so bright brighter the dark night's moonlit Stars Unbreakable piece of Black glass that's what she is Because time after time she fell got back up was bused but did not break Raised six children and grandchildren on her own but she was all away's alone with no one to lean on or call her own she was all alone Her children and grandchildren was her own and she always gave us a home Although we gave her pure hell she never strayed away or felled us, always there along the way our rock More than one Beautiful Black Diamond should have to endure or bare in a lifetime Out of control sister nothing but troubles and problems leads to her sickness today not ashamed to say Speak the truth cuz one woman that we know surely deserve a Nobel Peace Prize is Our Mother It's time for her to be worry-free but some just won't let her be The only thing we can say Satan is busy these days but please stay away from my our Mother in Jesus Amen Amen Or there will be hell to pay in Satan's name Amen Amen Amen Fatherless Homes at times Dad in and out did he belong we never knew No memories of doing things that fathers and Son's should do but that's alright everyone has their ways, we loved him anyway we knew it wasn't in his DNA always had mad love and respect for him and still miss him so much to this day The bottle has a way of controlling your life I should know I've been there myself once or twice The bottle and depression, was that a good combination broke up a long-term relationship and another happy home Memories of all the fights the good times the bad times and the ugly times, but mostly the bad Precious Diamond left at home to fend for herself all alone with six hungry mouths to feed Sometimes food sometime not but never enough to feed six hungry mouths Beautiful Grand parents that never lead us astray kept us in line and in check at Bay as always Never knew our mother's parent's as they passed away during our early age hundreds of miles away didn't seem like it would be anyway Father father our Grandfather a preacher no cursing drinking or smoking allowed But for some strange reason most of the boy's of twelve children turned out to drink and smoke to the point of their death Oh how this Beautiful Precious Diamond bared the scars and abuse of a lifetime Small short but standing tall a Strong Strong Strong Black Woman "Our Exquisite Black Diamond Mother" Helpless and alone family was distance because the choice she made in my father before our birth Just a shadow in some of their eyes but the ones that that realized her pain was her Rock I do remember to my surprise from being so young at the time Remembering the pain she suffered the hell and back she have been to tell the Tale on how to win small short but standing Tall and very loud and proud Exquisite Black Diamond our Mother Never bite her tongue from what she has to say she always taught us the bigger you are the harder you fall that's a small person's law around the way, coming from a small short but standing tall Black woman Got knocked down but got back up to fight another fight and to see another day for her Children and Grands, she never quit and never will at the age of 87 years of life God always Grants miracles because he leaves three of twelve siblings one of 97 years of life here for us to see and two of 87 years of life for us to see As God may have it he granted Our Exquisite Diamond Mother one wish that she never wished upon or had nothing to do with by leaving behind with her, her twin brother David Lee Perry and her 97 years of life, her sister Rhetonia Perry Chisholm So my hat off to our Exquisite Black Diamond Mother Love You Father side became her new found family and. she always belong No different was made of the children for the two older sisters wasn't his own by blood but was the only father they ever known They was born before Mama and Dad met and was never a problem he loved them anyway as if they was his own Time go by there's a little premature baby boy arrived early by the name Kenneth Wendell Perry his first born Two years later a second son was born Larry Bernard Perry Two years later a third son was born Kelvin Wyatt Four years later a fourth child was born turned out to be a healthy Redbone baby girl something he always wanted named Verdine Renee Wyatt his pride and joy Mama and Dad was married by this time that's why the two youngest siblings has Wyatt my father's last name But my brother and I we was born out of wedlock never had our names changed and my Mama she's tried and tried to get my father to go down with her to get the names changed There was a price to pay for our Exquisite Black Diamond was mostly left alone to fend on her own Our Exquisite Black Diamond Our Mom The Rock the Foundation never turned her back on her six children and the multiple grandchildren and grandchildren there are multiplying too many to count at this time So in so many words we would like to say Momma from the
