When I'm feeling blue,

Ruled by thoughts of you,

try to get a grip,

To not let myself slip.

Eventhough it can be hard,

Resistance fall apart,

Still I hide my pain,

Owning that I'm insane,

Underneath this mask,

To smile is such a task.

Learning to be strong,

Eventhough I've been wrong,

This time, I belong.

  • Awesome work! You know what I was reminded of as I read it? Dr Franklin use to teach us to pack as much into each sentence as you can, and if possible, make each sentence a complete poem all by itself so that every line could stand on its own feet if removed. It is an effortless read; one of my favorite of your poems, Zee.
