Melissa Davis part one is about a multi-talented young girl who finds herself in a dimension like ours, but with a thew differences. She proves that a friend can change a life by going on a beautiful heart warming adventure Chapter 1: Melissa A young, fifteen year old, girl walked infront of a wall length mirror. She stared at herself. Her face was a peach canvas, that had red roses painted on it for cheeks. Her eyes were an emarled green coulor that sparkled in the light, like stars in the night sky. The emarleds had black strands of wire accompanying them. Her mouth was a thin sprinkle of red glitter and sequins. Her eye brows were thin. Like paper, but they were a light coulor - highlighting them. Her nose was rare for her time. It was dreamed of, in 3314, to have a button nose. The girl had pastel-blonde hair. Her hair was magnifi-cent; it flowed down her face and back like waterfalls of silk. She was beautiful. But she disagreed. She thought she was ugly, abnormal. Lonely. She was wrong though. It was because she was picked on regually. She was ok though. That meant she had time. Sometimes too much time. But she could do what she wanted, when she wanted. Melissa walked out of her home, now her home. Her home was a cave. It had a pale brown down. The door had a gold door handle. And two tiny windows. She walked down a path of stones. When the path ended she had to hop onto two massive rocks to cross a beautiful blue stream. After that she ran across a peaceful meadow. A butterfly flew behind her and followed her. It was a lovely turquoise colour. Her hair flew in an elegent way as she left the medow and into the city. She stopped running and jogged carefully down a rocky hill. Everyone called it a mountain, but Melissa knew that it was a hill. It wasn't pointed or snowy or tall just rocky and steep. She landed on a road. She got out a skateboard from her bag. Melissa rode it down the road. The roads of Utopias were too busy for a skateboard so she jumped off, grabbed it and landed on both feet while running. She eventually, reached school. Acorn-Maple high. She strolled inside. Nobody smiled at her or waved. That again didn't bother her. Chapter 2: Acorn-Maple high school. Melissa signed in at the desk and walked into the empty hall. There wasn't any teachers or students in the hall. Just Melissa. At Acorn-Maple high no one cared what you did as long as no one died or if you had lunch at the same time with everyone else. They stated: "We are teaching them independence." Melissa forward rolled into a backflip, then an arab-spring. She spiralled then stopped. She ran onto the wall, leaped and grabbed onto a curtain rope. A stage was revealed. It was oak wood with a puppeteer set and book stand. She walked towards it. The podium was hand made. She could tell normal woodwork from hand made woodwork, it was something she learnt with her time. Inspecting the stand, she found an old book, it was called: Outside the walls. Chapter 3: The book- Outside the walls. Melissa opened the book. It read 'The world isn't limited to these ghastly walls. There is an enchanting life beyond...' Melissa was interested and flicked onwards. She thought there was no world past the walls. She though there was only Utopias, Acorn-Maple high, Willow Medow (the medow she crosses every week day), Stream of Sinbad (the stream she crosses every week day) and Abe's forest, no to mention the other villages toward the East. As she flicked onward, the old, stained pages stroked her fingers. Most of the gleeful pages high-fived her index finger. She wanted to find out more about the outside world. She was waiting for something to catch her eye. Something did. On page 501 there was a red, leather bookmark. It look newly made but badly treated. Melissa started reading automatically: I walked through Willow Medows and into Abe's forest. It was dark. Too dark. I was in there until morning and thats when I found the wall. It was massive about 100 feet tall. It was made of stone¡t€. (Stoneite is the strongest stone in Utopias therefore rare and expensive). There was a riddle there on the wall. It was the location of the password for the door. Unfortunately I could never answer it. The book was finished. But Melissa's questions had just begun. Abe's forest?- but its dangerous there. Whats beyond the wall? What happened to the author? What was the riddle? Why is there a wall in the first place? Is there dangerous beings on the other side? Melissa took the book and put it in her bag. With that she stood up and left to get lunch. Chapter 4: Lunchtime - same old same old? Melissa walked down the corridor to see 60 children (including herself) in one box like shape. Melissa wasn't normally closterphobic but she was now. She found herself a table. No one was on it. But that was life to Melissa. Same old same old. When Melissa strated eating her mayonnaise and tuna sandwiches a girl walked to her. "Hello, my names Linsey. You looked a bit lonely so I thought I could acompany you?"She said smiling. She was an elf. A tall elf with long pastel-pink hair. And pointy ears with dimand ear-rings. She had blue eyes that looked as deep as the sea. Around her neck there was an old necklace that had the symbol of peace. She was smiling with a pair of pink lips. Her red gym shirt and her blue pencil skirt suited her well if not perfectly. "No. I am fine thank you." Melissa replied without eye contact. "Oh," Linsey said disappointed, "Ok, see you around." She tried to say happily. She turned around and walked away. Melissa had no regrets. But as she saw the one person who spoke to her kindly, walk away, she remembered her Dad saying to her that 'one day someones going to come up to you and your going to reject them.' Melissa decided to open up. "Wait, Linsey! Atually I do have room for one more." Melissa said smiling. Linsey turned round and smiled back. "Thanks its hard fitting into a new school." Linsey stated. They talked and talked. Melissa finally had a friend. Chapter 5: Home The school bell rang and Melissa leaped onto her skateboard. She skated up the road and jumped onto a rock. She grabbed her skateboard and sprinted up the hill. She sprinted through the blooming Willow Medows and Leaped over the Stream of Sinbad then she skated to her cave. She knocked on the door. No one answered as usual because both of her parents worked constantly. Her Mum was an accountant and her Dad was a Police officer. They both worked 6:00am until 5:00pm and school finished at 3:30pm. Melissa walked into her small but beautiful house and sat in the kitchen. She sat there for five long straight minutes, just thinking about the outside world and the walls. She finally decided to investigate. Melissa walked down the corridor into the front room looking for a pen and a piece of paper. Once she found some paper and a pen she wrote down: 'Dear Mother and Dad, I am staying round a friend's house. Her name is Linsey and I met her today at school. I shall be back on Sunday love you lots. ~ Melissa.' She placed it next to the hallway cabinet neatly and locked the door. She ran towards Abe's forest... Chapter 6: Abe's forest. Before she entered Abe's forest she remembered her Dad saying to her: ''Don't go in Abe's forest. You don't know the dangers I've seen. I am nevous and I have a bow 'n' arrows.......That forest is forbidden to you. You are never to go in!'' Melissa, For the first time, had just broken her Dad's one rule. She had stepped into Abe's forest..... There were strange and disturbing noises surrounding Melissa. She didn't know where to go she was lost and confused. Wherever she looked there was tree. The same type and amount everywhere. She was terrified. So Melissa ran, ran faster than she knew she could. She ran in one direction. And out of pure luck, out of pure faith, out of pure hope she had found the wall. Chapter 7: The riddle The author didn't exaggerate about it's hight. It was tall. Massive. Colossal. It was 100 foot. There was a door made of titanium. No windows. Next to the door there was a keyboard that you typed the password into. It was one of the first ever made. On the wall there was a riddle spray painted onto the wall. It read: ' I AM ALWAYS RUNNING AWAKE OR ASLEEP, I NEVER RUN OUT OF MONEY BECAUSE I RUN INBETWEEN TO BANKS AND I FALL AT UTOPIAS. It could only mean one thing. Surely. Just what? What is always running and inbetween two banks? A river. But there are so many. Only one is a waterfall when it reaches Utopias. Stream of Sinbad! The code is there somewhere. Somewhere. Melissa walked causally towards the Stream of Sinbad once she'd gotten out of Abe's forest. She stepped in the water of the stream it was cooling and soothing. Melissa turned to the rocks containing the stream. She looked at them, they looked like they were in the shape of the number 1243. Chapter 8: The door. "Oh my God, thats it! 1243!" Melissa shouted. She sprinted through the stream, past her house and through Abe's forest. Melissa reached the door and typed in the password. "1243." It didn't work. "What?!? Work!" She screamed and yelled. Melissa smacked the keyboard. Then...CRACK! The door moved. It wobbled. Then it slid open. The light that blinded Melissa was beautiful. It was blue and yellow and magnificent. It had opened. She had completed it. This was it...... To be continued.......
