The woman charged at me. 
"No!" I yelled. I started running. I was still far from home and not many people hung around outside because it wasn't a great neighborhood. She grabbed my backpack and tripped me. 
"Stop!" I screamed. 
"You got me locked up in jail!" She yelled back. 
"Stop blaming me for your mistakes!" I screamed reaching in my pocket for my phone to call for help. 
"Not this time." She said taking the phone. I started kicking. 
"That's how you wanna do this?" She asked. 
"No, this is how I wanna do this." I said as I bit her arm and ran. Grossest thing ever but she didn't leave me with much of a choice. When I got home and immediately told my family. My parents finally agreed to drive me home from school. However, that meant I was still alone on my way to school. 

Nothing happened for a while. Until I started getting letters again. Weird letters. Weird messages. But the weirdest thing about them, wasn't the messages. It was the photos. There were photos of me, my mom, dad, and even my brother who had been dead for 3 years. I realized this lady had been watching me for a long time. I threw everything in the trash and went about my life. 

I was at home~alone. When I heard a knocking on the door. I wasn't in a mood to talk to anyone so I said, "No one is home! Go away!" I only said this because I thought it was some sales person or something. Then the mail slot opened. 
"I know you're in there." Whispered a voice. I started creeping away from the view of the door. I called my mom and she said the police would be there in 5 minutes. 
"You cant hide from me, Adalind." It was then that I recognized the voice. The woman... She had come again. 
"Hey! Come over to the door!" She said. 
I stayed hidden behind a wall. I managed to get a butcher knife from the kitchen. I finally heard the sirens. 
"Thank God." I whispered. The police explained there was nothing they could do. 

About 1 month later I woke up at around 2AM starving. So I went inside to get some food. I heard my mom whisper, "Adalind come into my room." I walked in there to see something that haunts me to this day. My mom's arms were staked to the bed with nails. And my father had slits all around his body. 
"Mom? What happened?" I asked. 
"She left... Out the window. It was the woman with red...." Her voice trailed off. 
"Mom? Mom!? MOM!?" I yelled. She was breathing but unconscious. 
"Dad! Dad what happened?" I asked. 
"Hospital... Now." He mumbled. 

I waited for them at the hospital for hours and hours. 
"Your mom is awake." The doctor said. 
"Mom?" I whispered. 
"Thanks for saving us." She said. 
"I did not." I replied. 
"If you hadn't come into the room...." She said. 
"I know, mom." 
"It was the woman." Okay. Did you tell the doctor who it was?" 
"No. But I want you to go home and get some rest." She said. 
"But Mom-" she cut me off. 
"No. Go come back first thing in the morning and by then, dad will probably be awake." I nodded. The police took me home with an officer outside my house. 

IN THE HOSPITAL (Narrators view)

The woman with the red hair went into moms room claiming she was a sister. Again she tried to murder my mom.
