You may think I’m always happy and shining bright but it’s a constant fight with these demons of mine each and every night. A mask I put on while this is all happening to make you all believe I’m alright even when I got no sleep the night before due to the war I barely survived, only because of the amount of pages I write. “You look tired.” “Are you okay?” Phrases you all say so constantly. I only shrug with a head full of things I really want to say but the words that come out are everything you want to hear to believe that I’ll be okay. Then I go about my day with all my jokes and smiles to keep up this front that I always regret. I go about my day walking so many miles to please those that probably don’t give a fuck what’s going on in my head. No matter how my day goes, you will never know because we live in a world where people choose themselves over others so I rather not waste my breath. No one really knows how I feel unless it’s the words I’ve written that were read. I’m still finding my voice; I’m still a work in progress trying to get everything down to a science. It will be perfect to the point where I don’t have to try so hard to be heard. It’s never good to keep it all in bottled up but I’m waiting for the perfect moment. Mask on, hidden in the darkness. Patiently waiting, patiently building. I’ll be hidden away somewhere safe in a dark place, constructing up a beautiful masterpiece of words that will one day take over the world.
