How do we ever truly know a person's true intent?
It doesn't matter if you have been married for many years, or you have been friends since childhood, or even if it's your parent or grandparent.
Our true intent is something that we only share with God. But we don't act that way to be deceptive or mean. I believe we do it out of fear. The fear of someone knowing what we honestly think. If you came to the realization that your husband or wife was not being honest with you all the time, would you leave them? Or would you accept it and hope that the honesty was more than the deception? Is it even possible for two people to be 100% honest all the time?

  • To be honest is really more of a choice. At least that's my opinion. Sometimes, we don't say what we truly feel not because we want to lie or deceive but more to spare someone else's feelings. But if someone lies or deceives intentionally, that's a whole different story.
