Laying in bed,on my back. My wife sleeping on my shoulder, with a snore that can be defined as low, cute and content. The T.V. is on the weather station, volume on a low setting. The light which is on is across the room and even though I want it off,I'm in my happy place, so I'm going to move. Now the urge to urinate is starting to kick in, but that's still not enough to move me from my happy place. But it is an opportunity to write a poem. So here goes. Lying here with my wife. No one could have a better life. Hearing her snoring in my ear. It gives me strength and strips my fear. Knowing my shoulder is her happy place. And the happy content look upon her face. Fills my heart and mind with joy. How she melts this man into a boy. So bring on the monsters from the closet and under the bed. And I will fight them all to protect the woman I wed.
