I look outside of my window, while the blank paper of
 emptiness as I tap my head with the sharpened pencil. Its one thing when you get a story idea, its another when thinking how to stretch it into something most people don't think of often. A car passes as thoughts of stories play out in my head, and leave afterward. "Opal, are you finished yet? Your food is getting cold!" My mother shouts. I look at the blank paper, why won't it hit me? I walk downstairs and slide into the chair. My mother slid a plate full of fried chicken, macaroni, and a heaping amount of corn. We have corn constantly growing in our back yard, nothing else to it, yet. I eat my corn first, pushing my girl into the base and the- I'm gonna cut it off, who wants me to explain how I eat? Anyways I head back upstairs into my room and sat back down in the desk. I go back to thinking and ended up falling asleep. "Opal! Your friends are waiting for you!" My mother yelled while patting aggressively on my head. In response i slowly lift my head and look at her. I just stuffed on some slippers and carried my happy little a** to the door and started to unlock the door.
