I'm most grateful for...


if life has taught me anything, it's that it is fleeting. So I am grateful for everyone and everything. Life is too short to hold anger, spite, and resentment. It's a gift, no matter where you come from. life is a gift given to us by God and the women who bore us into this world, whether they gave birth to us and raised us, or gave birth to us and chose someone to raise us. We're all given a selfless gift, what we do with that gift speaks volumes. As human beings we often hold pain in our hearts from our past, we hold forgiveness back from those who wronged us or hurt us. Sadly, that only adds to the pain we carry, Forgiveness doesn't take the pain away, it won't erase the past, it can heal a broken heart, mend a shattered soul... 
So I am grateful for every heartache, for they taught me to cry, to mourn and to steel myself, I'm grateful for every memory, for they're not a given, I'm grateful for every minute because when my birth mother could've aborted me, could've chosen to rid herself of me, she chose to give me the greatest gift, one that only she could give me....
