"Shut up....!"
"Don't talk to me like this", Shreya said in a high- pitched voice.
"I will never talk to you", l shouted back.
"Okay don't. lt will be better for me if l don't see your face", Shreya said.
This was a short scene of the fight with my ex bestfriend in the last year of our school life. It was also the first time in the last twelve years that I came to the Principal's office with a complain and we ended up fighting there. I cried and she cried too.
After this huge emotional fight, l tried not to talk to her and she also tried her best not to see my face. Though we said "sorry" infront of our Principal and shooked our hands in a formal way to show that we had forgiven each other but it was a complete drama. I avoided her in every possible ways and soon the whole School came to know about our World War lll.
But it did not took me much time to forget the drama, tilted 'l hate Shreya, my enemy', and also at the same time l started to miss her. I started to miss every competitions that we joined and performed together. I remembered, when we were in the lower classes, how we fought and the very next minute how we used to forgive each other. I wondered how much I have changed. I scolded myself for being too silly and keeping aside all my dramas, I went to talk to her though I said, I will never. Like that day, we cried too. I asked her "sorry" and so she did, from her heart, unlike the fake one in the office. I realized how easy it is to say, "l will never talk to you" and actually how difficult to keep up to it. That day l understood the real meaning of 'friendship', which says once we do friendship, we are tied with an unbreakable chain of love for the whole life.
