Walking out past the edge of the trees, I step into a clearing bathed in moonlight making the world look mysterious through my mask. The cool air of October sent a shiver down my back. Leaves scattered around as I heard the sound of footsteps behind me, "What... what are you?" A trembling voice said. I turned my head to face the woman that confronted me. She had a pistol outstretched in her hands, pointing it at me. The woman's arms shook as she tried to hold her gaze at me. Tears had streaked down her face leaving her bright blue eyes. Her blonde hair stuck to her head. She had obviously been crying, "Answer me!" She screamed. I turned my body to face hers, "And how exactly would you like me to answer that?" I asked cautiously, dropping my hands to my side. A cool breeze made its way through the trees sending a few leaves flying, "Where did it all go wrong Sebastian?" She asked. The question sent my mind spiraling. I looked at her as my eyes widened. 
How did she know who I was?  
I thought to myself frantically, "I know it's you! So answer me!" She shouted, tightening her grip on the gun. I chuckled, moving my hand to my head and then my chuckles turned into sinister laughter, "So you figured it out. I'm amazed you did." I said as I removed my mask. The woman's eyes began to widen as she caught a glimpse of my face, "But but.. why? How? It couldn't be you..." She screamed as her legs crumbled and she fell to her knees, "You can't be here. It can't be you!" She threw her hands to her head dropping the gun. Her cries grew louder and louder, "You're dead!" She screamed in agony. I took a step closer, "Yes indeed I am." I said calmly. I took another step, "But here I stand, how can that be?" I asked, taking another step towards her, "Here's how.." I said, closing the gap between us. I leaned down and rested my arms on her shoulders placing my mouth to her ear, "I'm a vampyre. I'm a immortal who shall never die, my love." I whispered in her ear. A smile spread across my face. The girl flung herself away from me, her sorrow now replaced with terror. I stood now, continuing to watch her, "That's.. that's impossible! I watched you die! If you are what you say you are, then you're nothing but a blood sucking monster with no heart! You can't be the man I loved!" She screamed at me. My smile faded, I looked at her with rage. My blood red eyes were like daggers, stabbing her with every look. 
I'll have to kill her... Sorry my love...
Quickly I sprang into action, throwing myself at her, frantically she looked around for the gun but as she spotted it, it was too late for her. As I abounded forward I grabbed and sank my teeth in her neck. Holding steady I began to suck her blood, "Please Bastian.. please stop." She pleaded. She tried to fight but the loss of blood was weakening her and she began to grow pale. Slowly she began to stop resisting as her cries grew quieter. After only a few mere moments her resisting had stopped, her eyes shut, as her arms went limp. I dropped her body as I wiped my mouth. The red in my eyes faded as I gained my senses back. I looked down upon the girl who's blood I just devoured. A frown made its way to my face as I began to turn away from her. I took one last look and walked away, "I'm sorry it had to end this way Elizabeth, I had once loved you as a mortal... but no more." I walked into the edge of the trees, leaving behind the last thing that had connected me to my humanity.
