Candle Light Read Count : 128

The lit candle casts a small shadow,
Dwarfed in size by the darkness surrounding it,
Just like the moments in the night,
When I find myself missing you...

The warmth of it reaches out to me,
Tempting me with its dull glow,
But undoubtedly falls short in the coldness of the night...

The flame begins to weaken as the darkness around it grows,
Soon it and I will be devoured in pitch black...

So I lay back and hold in my breath,
Then with surprising ease blow out the flame,
Letting the darkness take me into its cold embrace...
