I am my own hero;
I protect myself from harm.
I'm no damsel in distress,
neither am I emotionally disarmed.

I protect my own "once upon" and "forever after",
I fight the unworthy dragons and monster,
and climb out of my imprisoned tower,
stronger than ever.

Wanna cast evil wishes upon me?
You can try...
then watch and sigh,
as I break myself free.

Wanna try plan my future?
Not gonna happen.
Here's a newsflash...
I write my own destiny.

Self doubt?
My will knows no self drought.
Sly wolves?
I trap them and face them;
you can bet I have my own moves.

You can pierce my heart with a destructive arrow,
but know this....
I will heal in my own sorrow.
And come tomorrow,
I am still, and always will be my own hero.
