Distance.

Skin to skin, yet worlds apart.
Our skin touches for seconds while you wrap your arm around me and my heart races with joy.
Seconds later you pull away and my heart yearns, longs, cries, craves. 
Water fills my eyes.
Where are we? 
So close, yet worlds apart. 
Now, back to back.
Your phone entertains you, while my phone is flooding with painful entry.

Distance. 

Skin to skin yet worlds apart.
I glance back for moments, vision cloudy, heart breaking with every second.
Unnoticed. 
The panting under my breath.
Unnoticed.
You finally turn around and hold me.
Tears rolling down my face.
Unnoticed.
My heart races again, only this time confusion.
Where are you?
I call out to you....
Unnoticed. 
I love you.
Unnoticed.
Now, is it too late? Too far?
