After lying in bed next to Jazmine Atticus was eager for her next wish. Once they were walking to school Jazmine just had to think of everything last night. Just like Atticus said about the wishes being a game to him there were rules bounded to it. She didn't even think there would be some boundaries to her wishes. Like her wishes needed to require death or illness to someone.
"Say, Atticus?" He looked at her and smiled. "Yes, my lady." Jazmine nudged him and frowned. "Oh sorry...Jazmine." He chuckled. "About the rules...to the wishes." Silence entered the space between them. "Do they apply?" "I don't know. You tell me." Jazmine walked faster. "But you're the one who made them up, so you should tell me." Atticus chuckled. "There are rules to this game, but if you make three wishes they won't ever apply to you." Jazmine looked at the school entrance. "So far I've only made one wish. I just need two more. No biggy." Atticus chuckled again. "You think that's no 'biggy' well I'll tell you these rules will stick to you if you don't make two more wishes by the end of today. And believe me those rules get easily broken and will cost you your soul." Jazmine gasped and rushed on inside as if she stayed by him for a few more minutes then that would've cost her soul.
During the next two hours of her school especially passing period, Jazmine looked around. She wondered what she could wish for. Of course ever since the tragic death of Sanchez Mirota no one has actually discussed it. Not even her friend Aliza whose been put into denial couldn't say a thing about it. She wouldn't even tease Jazmine as she did before. It would seem like it could be the best thing to do. Except for Jade and Tamara who didn't see the reason why to stop their tensions towards Jazmine. That of course may as well be some kind of opportunity for Jazmine.
It was now lunch time and Jazmine was sitting at the same spot she normally seats in the morning. But this time not alone. Atticus walked to the table and sat next to her. She looked at him weirdly. "What? Why are you looking at me like that? Did I do something to offend you just now?" Jazmine giggled. "No. It's just that I don't see you that much." Atticus looks around. "Uh, yes you do." Apparently Jazmine only sees him in chemistry and in the library, nowhere else in the school except the cafeteria. "Not at home. I meant here in the school." Atticus put down his fork and looked at her. "Oh here. Well you see....Okay think about it like this. I didn't show myself around Mari when she was in school. I was basically incognito in this building. But since you were being picked on in the science lab I felt that I couldn't just stand there and let that happen." Jazmine squinted her eyebrows. "Really?" "Yeah I know. Mari had fought her own battles with the teasing. You...well you're a different story." Jazmine rolled her eyes. Atticus smirked and continued. "I mean seriously she knew how to brush them off with the words, but you however -" "Atticus! I get it. Let it go. If that's the only reason why then shut it!" Atticus nervously laughed. "Yeah um... that's not the only reason." She looked at him and scowled. "What do you mean that's not the only reason...Atticus?" She said irritated. "I'm also not enrolled by the school...so take good care of my existence here.." Jazmine widen her eyes and before she could respond he kissed her. When she nudged at him and blushed she giggled as if they were a happy couple. Well not until they caught Jade and Tamara's attention.
Surprisingly Sebastian was right next to Jade so she couldn't walk over to them. Tamara got up after whispering something in Jade's ear and giggling. Sebastian was worried, but he didn't have any strength to stop Tamara.
"Good afternoon!" There stood Tamara and her wicked smile. She turned to Atticus and thoughtfully admired his handsomely look. "Good afternoon to you as well, butterface!" Tamara glared at him and rolled her eyes. She then faced Jazmine who seemed to be giggling at the offensive remark towards her. "You know, Jazzy McEasy that was one news story you shown us the other day. What girl reminds someone of their lost friend!" Tamara said aloud enough for everyone in the cafeteria to hear and stare at them. Atticus looked around still chewing on beef chicken in his soup. They all started to whisper. "It is just rude to bring that up in a conversation about something totally different from what you had said yesterday!" Jazmine felt sick to her stomach. That was when she was in the library... without Atticus. He looked puzzled, but it happened anyway. Then Samuel stood up and openly said something. "I don't know how a person like you can even be alive. All you do is come here and make everyone sick to their stomach. Why can't you and your weird boyfriend attend a school elsewhere?!" Atticus stuck out his middle finger and mouthed "F**k you" making Samuel even more angrier. Jade had laughed and so did Tamara. Everyone looked at Jazmine as her eyes were beginning to water. Even if Atticus was by her side things weren't getting any better. At this moment she just wanted to kill herself as everyone were starting to get upset at her. Atticus looked at her as she got up from her seat and ran out of the cafeteria crying. He sat there while everyone was talking about how cruel Jazmine was. Tamara winked at him and walked to her table. Atticus blew her a kiss and smiled. He already knew what was going to happen. Sebastian was worried so he ended up throwing away his tray and left the cafeteria. Leaving Jade without her noticing.
The remaining of the school hours Jazmine had spent her time hiding away in the library. She couldn't possibly go back out there. Not when everyone had the thought of her being selfish. Now she was alone for good. Atticus didn't even defend her. She looked at the ring on her finger. She felt the need to take it off.
After the school bell had rang for dismissal Jazmine touched the ring. She was devastated.
    Meanwhile in the hallway...
"You're breaking up with me?!" Jade looked at Sebastian confused. After that incident in the cafeteria he couldn't take it anymore. "I've told you dozens of times to leave Jazmine be, but have you done that? No. I can't stand this relationship when you don't exactly listen to me." Jade looked at him tearfully. "Sebastian she brought up Sanchez out of nowhere in order to make us feel the loss and pain." Sebastian sighed heavily and stared in Jade's eyes. "She brought her name up because you seemed to have forgotten what happened to Sanchez. That pain and loss you said that she wanted you to feel well that's vice versa." Jade took his hand, but he jerked away. "It's over, Jade." She looked at him and scowled. "I see. You were just looking for an excuse to be with that monster." He turned around and walked away from Jade. "And I bet you would use this as an excuse to an explanation to your friends on why I broke up with you." He then walked away leaving her alone and with mascara tracks running down her eyes.
Jazmine looked at the ring on her finger and touched it. She cared less about Atticus now. How could he let them do that her. She could care less of his existence. He should've just stayed incognito if wasn't going to do anything about what happened in the cafeteria. She started to slid the ring off of her finger. It was almost off until Sebastian stopped her. He came out of nowhere. He had on a worried face gazing upon Jazmine's tears. She looked at his hand as they were occupied with roses. "Sebast-" He kissed her before she could finish saying his name. His touch felt better than Atticus' kiss. He took her hand and they stood up. "Why don't we go to my place." Jazmine delightfully agreed.
As they were in his room he looked at her ring. He took her hand and examined it. Jazmine was speechless and didn't want him to know that Atticus had given the ring to her otherwise he'd think they were...together. "It's -" "Atticus has marked you somehow. Even after being expelled from this mortal world." Jazmine widened her eyes in shock. She never told him Atticus' name. And what he had just said frightened her a bit. "How did-" Sebastian took off her ring and tossed it aside. Jazmine stepped back. "No! I'll die if I take off the ring!" Sebastian chuckled. "You won't die unless you put on my ring." Jazmine confused looked at him and saw the ring in his hand. It was almost like Atticus' except it was even more prettier. He put it on her finger. She looked at him and the ring on his finger. "Jazmine, I am a demon. And I have been in love with you ever since I've made any contact with you." Tears fell from her eyes.

"Please don't take off this ring."
