I was running. Five more minutes, four more blocks. I barely dodged a glass door as it swung open in front of me. "Two more blocks," I told myself as I ran. "One more." I barely ran through the door before the manager shut it. "I.... need to pick up... a package," I said between breaths. "Name?" The manager sighed. "Pink, Pink Salmon," I replied. He went behind the counter and pulled out a small package. "What's in it anyway? I've never seen anything shipped with such security," he asked. "If I told you, I would have to kill you," I replied, wondering what was in the package. I left a wide-eyed manager behind the counter and started running home. I ran inside and locked all five bolts on the door. "Dad I'm home!" I yelled. "The password is fish, don't shoot me!" I yelled as I walked through the living room. Within seconds I was trapped in a back-breaking hug. "You were large! You scared the death out of me!" My dad scolded as he released me from the hug. "Something could have happened to you!" "Dad!" I complained. "I'm fine! I just wanted to drop in before I deliver the package." "Okay," he said, kissing my head. "Stay safe out there, and don't forget your training." "Dad, do you really think I would forget? What kind of person forgets seven years of spy school?!" "Fine, fine, just stay safe!" He repeated. "I will dad, don't worry!" I said, walking out the door. I started running to the palace. I took every shortcut I knew. I turned down a dark alley, and I suddenly heard running footsteps behind me. I knew he was one of the other side so I ran faster. Within seconds I was slammed against the brick wall by a large man. "Give me the package!" His rough voice growled. "Never!" I yelled. He held a knife to my throat so, being me, I spit in his face. He wiped off his face and allowed his knife to rest on my neck. "You are going to give me the package, or your blood will be splattered all over this wall," he growled. I heard a loud noise and the man dropped to the ground. I looked up and saw an older boy, fifteen probably, stuffing what had to be a dart gun, in his pocket. "Are you alright?" He asked, running up to me. "I..I'm fine," I stuttered. "Sorry I'm late," he said, grabbing my arm. He lead me down the alley. "What do you mean 'your late'?" I asked. "I'm from the organization, sent to make sure you got the package delivered safely," he explained. I ripped my arm from his grasp and angrily walked away. "I don't need protecting," I muttered. "Actually, you do," he argued, walking beside me. "I just saved your life five minutes ago." "Shut up," I said. "I need to get this to the queen. I broke into a small run until we reached the palace. "Finally," I sighed, walking in the gates. The man stayed behind as I ran into the castle. A guard escorted me to the throne room and introduced me to the queen. "I have brought your package, Madam," I said after I bowed. "Thank you, dear," she replied, taking the package. She ripped it open, and to my surprise, pulled out a large block of chocolate. She broke off a piece and shoved it in her mouth. "Perfect! Now run along, a sack of gold will be delivered to your house in the morning." I nodded and slowly walked away. "I just risked my life... for a block of chocolate," I told myself. "Dad's gonna love this," I smirked, walking home.
