On an early August morning, sun camouflaged behind the clouds, a slight crisp wind blew against the trees edging the leaves to drop gracefully. Today was the start of a new beginning. My fun filled summer had finally come to an end, the partying throughout the nights, hanging out with the girls in the town & travelling up along the coast in our rental car whistling at boys and giggling at each other.

I lay in my bed looking out the window watching the trees slowly blow gently thinking of the day I had ahead of me. I had to find a job... yes a job. My last employer closed up his bakery and moved to Hawaii after his divorce and left this godforsaken town behind. I lived is a very small populated town of just over 500 people. It was at times majorly boring, but I was lucky to have two amazing friends to knock that aside. Kelly & Jess were sisters, they were twins but not identical and had two totally different personalities. Jess was the soccer crazy sporty girl who loved athletics, whereas Kelly was your typical girly girl with lots of sass. 

Going back to where I started, I'm laying in bed building up the effort to finally get my ass up and get this day started when my phone starts buzzing...

It was my messenger app and Kelly had messaged me, 

"Heyyy girl what's good ;) I hope your up if not? Get uppp! Lols meet us 4 coffee in an hour on cornerstone we got some news :/ ttyg LU"

I dragged my half lifeless body from bed and stumbled into the shower still yawning from lack of sleep. After getting getting ready in my record time of 30 minutes (yes 30 minutes I kid you not) I quickly grabbed my bag and keys and ran out the door.

I arrived breathless at cornerstone coffee shop, cheeks flushed and panting like mule. Kelly sat at our usually corner table with head in her hands looking sad while jess was getting the coffee. I walked up to Kelly trying to rid the panting from running a couple of blocks, when she looked up blankly. I said "Hey Kelly is everything okay?". She looked over at jess and back at me and said "Well yes and no... we have good news and some not so good news girl". Jess arrived over with three foamy vanilla lattes and three muffins. Jess looked at us both "Kelly have your told her what's happening?" Kelly looked and me tight lipped. "Umm no but uh... Yeah so you know the way our dad works for CoreTech.. well he got promoted, yay!!.. Jess you tell the rest". Jess looked to the heavens and back at Kelly "I knew you would that", I quickly chimed in wondering what the bad news was. Jess looked at me clutching her latte "We're moving up North this weekend.. it was totally last minute but our dad got this super promotion and there's no really other option but to go. So uh... Yeah that's the bad news" Jess and Kelly looked down at their lattes.

**fuck... what am I going to do? We had THE most amazing summer & planned to find an apartment together get cool jobs, have girls nights out, meet boys etc etc..**

I had to be happy for them, even though I was losing my best friends... I'd have nobody but I couldn't let them leave knowing that. "Guy's... that's great news. Your dad totally deserves that promotion and up north has really cute guys!!". They both looked at me half smiling as if they were shocked I was happy for them, even though I was devastated inside. "Me & Jess are so sad we have to leave I mean we will always Skype, message and send snaps every day! We're really gonna miss you!". I see Kelly's eyes well up but she swallows and holds it back. Jess grabbed us all in for a huge hug "We're best friends for life guys, nothing can change that"

Later on that day after I left the girls to go hunting for a job. I can't believe they have to leave!.. I'm shuffling my feet down the town square towards the notice board kicking a pebble like a five year old. I mean finding a job here can't be that bad can it?. I look across the board full of flyers and posts. "Babysitter require... no thanks...cleaner needed.. nope". Damn these jobs were too boring, I needed something exciting, something different and possibly a little weird. I stopped at this cream flyer, it looked somewhat elegant creepy? Yet professional. The flyer was looking for a live in maid for a small family of four in a mansion by Creek Manor lake, all accommodation free, food also provided and weekly allowance??.. well I be damned this sounds too good. Free accommodation, food AND get paid??.. I immediately emailed the address below and forwarded on my CV. After I sent the email I quickly Google searched the address. The mansion behind huugee gates, has 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a guest house and a huge garden front and back. I was curious to know who even lived there? I mean I heard of a rich family in town but I never gave it much thought to be honest.

I grabbed the flyer and started to walk home. I opened up my pictures on my insta scrolling down through the memories through the summer, me Kelly & Jess the three musketeers. Suddenly my phone buzzed.. 1 new email. I opened it and it read

"Dear Miss Lola,

We have just received your email in regards to the job offer at Creek Manor. I would like to invite you for an interview with myself tomorrow at noon. Arrangements can be made to provide transport for you, if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me,

Head house"

Well I be damned that was quick!!.. they also wanted to provide transport?? Whoah.. strange but I suppose they must be rich and it must be far from town to walk. I quickly replied accepting the interview and passing on my home address. I have butterflies in my stomach thinking of tomorrow. I really need to search my wardrobe for something really nice to wear I mean I do want to make a good impression. I look down at myself in my skinny jeans & converse and giggle.

Later that night I found the best outfit I could find. And pale pink chiffon blouse with knee length skirt and some smart shoes. It's all I could find as I'm always a casual girl, I only ever worn that outfit to a family dinner once. I lay in bed looking at the outfit hung up on my wardrobe wondering what the family will be like & hoping I making a somewhat good impression I mean iv never been a maid like ever.. my room wasn't exactly super tidy so I had to hope and pray I get this job.

My alarm rang off at 8am, Lady Gaga blaring across my room. I reached my hand out from under the covers searching for the snooze button. I darted up realising the interview was today. I quickly text the girls about my job interview and how nervous I was, they were so chuffed for me. Kelly said they would be nuts not to hire me and of course Jess said "kick their ass Lola you can do it" I Pottered around making breakfast, then getting ready. I stood in front of the mirror in my outfit, I looked professional as hell. I practiced introducing myself a couple of times, and smiling etc. My phone buzzed. An email came through from Ronan at the Manor conforming the car will arrive in 10 minutes for me. Oh shit now my nerves are kicking in. Sweat palms pamela here I go. I gathered my bag and jacket and waited down outside my apartment.  

Standing there shuffling my feet breathing in and out, thinking to myself "stay calm Lola you got this". I hear a a car come down my street as I looked up I saw a black Rolls Royce, tinted windows with a driver suited up on black with a black hat.. my jaw hit the pavement. The driver pulled up beside me (my jaw still on the pavement) and gracefully got out and introduced himself, "Hello Madam, my name is Henry and I will be your driver today". I stuttered "uh h-hello Henry I'm Lola, thank you for uh picking me up". He nodded and opened my door and guided me into the car. We drove through the town, everybody staring at the car. I could see them but they couldn't see me, it was kinda cool. Henry stayed quoted for the part of the 10 minute journey until we reached these huge black metal gates entwined in letters "Creek  Manor". The gates slowly started to open as we arrived. The garden was so big. It was well kept and full of beautiful flowers and trees. This places was like something from a fantasy dream. Henry drove up to the front door, he came around and opened up my door for me and said "Welcome Madam to Creek Manor". I stepped out, my knees felt weak with my nerves as I looked at the huge mansion in front me. I heard the front door open and a tall handsome man walked out. He was tall, dark haired with brown eyes, he had a slim frame but walked so elegantly. He looked like a Butler. Ronan approached us "Welcome Miss Lola I do hope your journey was pleasant? Please follow me into the foyer where we shall sit and chat".. what's a foyer?? I mean is it a lobby? I'm just a common girl we just have a hallway I giggled to myself.

As I walking into the mansion I looked around in admiration, it was so modern yet homely. The ceilings were so high and the windows were big enough just to let enough sunlight in. The walls had lots of pictures of art.. but none of any family members... odd. I sat down across from Ronan a lady came with a tray of tea and coffee and placed them in front of us. Ronan clear his throat "shall we get started Miss Lola, My name is Ronan as you know and I am the head Butler here at Creek Manor. We are highly impressed by your CV and would like to offer you the position here".. I'll sat there shocked... I mean I never got to mutter one word, how did I get this job? I'm so confused. I muttered "I've got the job??" Ronan smiled and said "My employer is very specific and you meet all those requirements Lola if you do not accept, I would understand" something inside me said "go for it!! Say yes!!.. "Umm I accept Ronan, thank you very much". Ronan clasped his hands together in delight "I'm thrilled Lola, I shall have the driver fetch your belongings, but firstly I'd like to introduce you to the family.. I'm too eager to meet them I wonder what they are like. The curiosity is nearly killing me. I hear footsteps coming from the stairs, look over and saw a tall, slender, beautiful Older lady approach us dressed all in white, she had short soft curly blonde hair similar to Marilyn Monroe. She glided across to us efffortlesly smiling as she held her hand out to greet me. "Good afternoon Lola my name is Eleanor Lockhart and welcome to my home. I live here with my husband Harrison and my two sons Shaun & Carter. I do hope you settle in and enjoy working with us and I look forward to chatting to you soon darling but I musts run I'm so late for fashion week". I nodded "Thank you Mrs Lockhart I look forward to being here". She waved good bye to Ronan and left the mansion. If Eleanor was this beautiful I could only imagine what her sons were like. 

The driver Henry later dropped my belongings up the mansion. I had 5 suitcases of clothing and essentials of course being a girl I needed multiple outfits for my days off. How am I gonna get these up to my room.. I stood there pondering at the suitcases until someone tapped my shoulder. I jumped & turned around to a tall beautifully pale guy, with dark brown hair and green eyes. He looked flawless! And his body was so toned and shaped, I was in awe...he smiled at me daringly "Welcome Miss Lola I'm Carter Lockhart, would you like a hand aww I think your luggage?" I blushed as looked down smiling "Umm nice to sweet you Carter that would be great thank you" damn he was so hot!! He was Elenor & Harrison lzockharts sone!..He walked up to me so close that i could feel his breath, he bent down and lifted my cases and said playfully  "right this was madam"... from there on I knew this stay was gonna be, interesting very interesting ...
