When I was a child I was told I would capture the hearts of men with my beauty But what I didn't know was that meant sex would be my womanly duty. So when my age grew and I was becoming a woman with a figure, Men's greedy eyes shown a whole lot bigger. I lived in a world of cold shady and abusive faces. I couldn't escape it not even the slow paces Of the men's boots walking after me. No, not me in my heart but only the body that they could see. I heard phrases like "boys will be boys or he is only a boy." But what about me am I just some toy? A toy that gets dirty and torn to pieces As my confidence rapidly decreases As if that wasn't enough I met a man who made me feel like life shouldnt be this rough But he was a liar and a thief to boot He set my world a blaze and reduced it to soot. He took advantage of my emotional state. And pounced on my body at a expedient rate. I shout get off and no no no But he ignored my plea like I was a random hoe. When he finished his work on the rest of my innocence. I saw through those eyes it was pure red wickedness. The tears that stained the side of my cheek, Burned with fury calling me a freak. "It's all your fault," they said, "you should have fought back." Their words were cruel nailed to a plaque Reality sets in anger is sin Poison and embarrassment will always win. In my head I didn't understand that this was a crime. A crime on me and a crime on my time. I felt the pain in my side the pain in my heart I felt it like a dirty rusty dart. Until one day the pain disappeared Their nasty words finally cleared I got the nerve to put up a fight I fought for my lost time I fought for my right. It's time to take a stand for all the lost souls. Let's fight against those who are the fools. The fools who tell us that we are no good, The fools that don't care that we are misunderstood. No they were the ones who made life miserable. Because to them we who are broken aren't even visible. They sit in their ivory towers throwing out judgment and shame Because to them our bodies were to blame. "Cover up your skin and no boy will attack!" But that doesn't stop them we're still watching our back. Someday they will realize that their words do hurt. Someday they will know what it feels to get shoved in the dirt. I do hope they never feel my pain. I do hope they never have to feel that shame. And although the memories of those days are still fresh I can no longer smell the burning of my flesh. It's okay really it's part of my story. I came out on top a champion of glory!
