I paint, paint, and paint. Every peice of work is a failed attempt at grasping for understanding. Whether it is I understanding the world or trying to let the world understand me. It always seems to fail.

I stand out on the street, naked in all but a mask. See every shame, every scar, every hair, and every mark. But don't look in my face. That is where the real pain lies. It lies to me that it does not exist. I breathe in the troubles to exhale them away. And yet the pain always remains.

I fell into the abyss of my thoughts. Swimming in the darkness of them and fighting not to drown. I see the looks of others and wish i did not exist. Why do you see me if I choose not to be seen? I only wish to dream so i can be me without harsh judgement.

You call me a monster. You poke and prode, you laugh and tease. Then you get angry when I bare teeth. It is you who unleashed the beast. It was perfectly happy underneath. So I am done, you got your gun, go ahead and shoot me. For I refuse to pretend. I will be the monster for you will never let me be your friend. Just shoot me.
