You’re as sweet as summer days
that die when the months are in full bloom
Forgive me,
For I should not have dared
compared thee to a summer’s day
No, not with beauty as magnificent as yours
For you are royalty
Wear the crown with pride

Every time you look at me
with those pretty brown eyes
that melt into golden rays circling an eclipse
butterflies form in my stomach
I try not to act suspicious
least you question my intentions
and run away in fear,
but it’s hard when all it takes
is a simple gaze from you
To make me a deer in headlight
unable to disappear

No matter how hard I try
I cannot form the words
To tell you exactly how you make me feel
So I write this with deep frustration
Mad at own inability to be more eloquent
Forgive me your majesty,
I know my words deserve your condemnation

For their inability
to capture not only your beauty,
but your caring heart of gold
And the smile you bring to others faces
with simply your mere presence
You are royalty my dear
So wear the crown with pride
